Please get a new narrator

The whiny voices depicting women and Ben in this story are like nails on a blackboard. I actually prefer virtual voice to this.

Entertaining story, performance somewhat annoying

This is another entertaining book in this series. I love the characters. There is plenty of suspense and danger along with a slowly building clean romance. The happy ending completes the package. However, I much preferred reading the book. I found this performance somewhat annoying and it was hard to listen to.

Not my favorite of this Author

I have to say this story was my least favorite of this author. And I have liked pretty much all her books. The narration did not help. But the worst for me was the female lead. She was so obnoxious! Always insecure and whiny. I felt there was absolutely no chemistry between the main two characters. No romance and the attempt at it felt forced and the narration kept droning on and on. The plot had promise but felt flat and I found myself counting the minutes for his to be over.

The whining voices

It’s somewhat a theme in this series. The woman and child in this book are so whiny I thought my head would bleed. An adult woman shouldn’t have any reason to be this annoyed all the time. It’s nauseating. I like the story, but it’s difficult to handle the tone and delivery of these characters. The previous book in the series was a reprieve and a delight, which is why I carried on with the series (plus the fact that I purchased them). But it’s back for this book. So sad. I think I’ll start whining about it.

Oh, The Whining

Ditto on the prior reviews. The narrator has a nice male narrative voice, but the whiney repetitiveness of the female and boy were....ugh! They were less than endearing, and the only affection I felt was earned was for Royal.
