Publisher's summary

“I can’t lose my daughter. She’s my baby girl. My everything. So...” He took a deep breath. “Whitney, will you marry me?”

When hot single dad Kyle Webber asks me this question, I’m in shock. After all, it’s been years since we’ve seen each other.

Although I’ve never been able to forget him. That’s what your first big love does to you, right?

I made the biggest mistake of my life when I left our small town to chase my dreams in LA. He went on to marry Josie, the biggest bitch in town.

A woman who gives selfish a whole new name.

No surprise that it didn’t last.

But now, she wants to get sole custody of their sweet little daughter Katie. To convince the court that he has a stable family life, Kyle asks me for help.

He wants us to fake a marriage. To pretend to be in love.

Really? Live with him in the same house? Sleep in the same bed?

It sounds like a plan destined to end in misery. My misery.

Because, since I’ve met Kyle again, my heart screams one sentence over and over again:

“Please, say it's not fake!”

Loved it

I have to honestly say every book that I’ve read so far just keeps getting better and better. However, I know the next one is one that I have to read, which will be hard for me because my eyes aren’t so good. I’ll never understand why the fourth one didn’t get narrated kind of upsetting.

This was ok, But…

So while I liked this story, I hated Keira Stevens narration which really hurt how much I liked it. Troy Duran was great but really didn’t need to used his deepest most gravely voice. Enemies to Lovers is an eh for me on a good day but I enjoyed a kid being thrown into the mix. The characters were ok, nothing special and the stories end was quick and weird and left answers hanging out there. My first Sarah J Brooks book and I won’t be looking for more.
