Publisher's summary

He's about to meet his match.

When teenagers from the same side of the tracks collide.

The second born son in a broken marriage, Joey Lynch has spent a lifetime picking up the pieces of a family unraveling. When his older brother Darren skips town on his first day of secondary school, twelve-year-old Joey finds himself thrown into the role of protector to his younger siblings and mother. Plagued by self-loathing, and furious with the world, he grapples with teenage life, his unwavering sense of duty to his family, while balancing precariously close to a life of addiction that threatens to swallow him whole. The only light in his sea of darkness is his boss's firecracker of a daughter who refuses to back down. A girl who just so happens to be his classmate.

Aoife Molloy has never been backwards in coming forward. Her bubbly and self-assured nature has never led her astray. Until her first day of secondary school when she collides with a hotheaded boy who sparks a burning curiosity inside of her that only grows stronger by the day.

Falling into a complicated friendship with her father's apprentice, Aoife works to unravels the secrets around Joey Lynch's life, while he desperately fights to keep her out.

Friendship, devotion, and first love all come together in Saving 6, the first of two books for Aoife and Joey.

Based in Ireland, the Boys of Tommen series is bound to captivate and lure you into the world of rugby, hurling, love, and teenage heartbreak.

Great continuation of the story.

I love the Tommen Boys series and listening to Joeys side of the story. Can’t wait for Redeeming 6 and Taming 7!

Joey breaks my heart - Another 6 star read

**6 stars**
🌶🌶.5

Joey officially owns a piece of my heart. He already did from Binding 13 and Keeping 13, but reading his book put me through the ringer. I love him, and my heart breaks for him throughout this book. The amount of pressure on this young man's shoulders to provide for his family and deal with his father's abuse is astounding. Reading his POV put me through a roller coaster of emotions, and it was so hard to see his struggles with addiction.

Aoife was such a feisty, strong, and loyal heroine. She loves Joey with everything she has, and you see how she also has to struggle with his problems with addiction. God, this book killed me, and I have a feeling the next one will be even more emotional.

I listened to this on audiobook and cried my eyes out multiple times. No author has made me cry more than Chloe Walsh. She is a master story teller who is able to make you feel deeply connected to each of her characters. The narrators Matthew Forsythe and Jacqueline Mine bring so much heart to this audiobook. I could feel Joey's devastation.

Finally Joeys Story!!!

This is one of my all time favorite series in this genre. If you haven’t read the series stop! Now download the first books beginning with Binding 13. I am a huge Fallen Crest fan and I have listened to this series as many times if not more than Fallen Crest. I’m American and at first the accents and slang (based in Ireland) were so diff I didn’t know if I’d get into the story but needless to say I “fecking” love it!! The narrators were so amazing I’d go far enough to say no others could have done better!
Amazing amazing amazing series… just get it!

So sad

This book is literally heartbreaking. I love Joey sooo very much that it ripped my heart apart reading about his self destruction. I had to take so many breaks throughout the reading of this book because it is so very sad. The love that he and Aoife share is so beautiful. I truly hope that he will be able to overcome his demons

Visceral, Raw, and Beautiful

Honestly one of the best New Adult books I’ve read. Super emotional, well-paced, and real.

A million stars

Ugh. I knew Joey was going to hurt me… but man, he really hurt me 😭😭😭

I’m going to say this at the beginning because, holy triggers. There is a ton of extremely painful content in this book and things that I usually won’t read. I’m invested in the series and characters at this point but please be warned, it’s not for the faint of heart.

Joey and Aoife have a loooong story over many years. I love them so much.

I’m desperate to start book two (Redeeming 6) but also terrified of how much more my heart will break.

Chloe Walsh has an incredible way of writing. She broaches horrific subject matter that makes you just want to crawl into the pages and save these people. She writes the most consuming stories that feel so reel. I’m invested in a way that probably boarders on unhealthy. But I truly love these incredibly complex and beautiful characters she has written.

Amazing story! Like all the others in this series

I don’t know why it took so long for me to read this book after reading the ones before and Gibs story. It’s amazing!
