Great Continuation of the Siren Story

I have really enjoyed this follow up series and think that A.L. Knorr has managed to write a truly unique mermaid novel series that is new and interesting from a lot of the tropes and themes that often play out in the genre. I also like the continuation from the elemental novels and that everything seems to be planned into a strong storyline that all ties back to the beginning story.
Overall great read/ listen!

Unforgettable Journey

Salt and The Sovereign tells the story of Mira’s life from the time she was born as Belle to when she became Mira. It is quite a tale. Belle starts off as a naive and idealistic little girl gradually growing with each new experience, gaining knowing from her mistakes...but some mistakes end up costing Mira a lot.
The journey is very captivating and a bit emotional. I did cry once or maybe even twice.
As Mira’s story unfolds a few mysteries are discovered that have yet to be figured out.
I eager to solve those mysteries and can’t wait to dive into the next book.

A book to listen to

Abby you’re not one to disappoint I love your books more and more, especially the audiobooks. It just brings the whole thing to life. I read salts in the sovereign prior to listening to it on audio and it just gives you a whole new experience. If you love fantasy this book is for you. The story just keeps you sitting on the edge of your seat. It brought me close to tears what happened to Mira and then it made me very angry that just leads to your expertise Abby of creating a book that just takes you through the emotional ringer. Marni was perfection in her role of narrating the book couldn’t of gotten better.

Gripping!

Delve into Mira’s past as she explains to Targa, Anthony, and Emun about her childhood, past, and how she got to where she is today.

I loved being able to read/hear about other sirens in the ocean, and begin to understand how their life-cycles work and why. There is a massive twist in the “tail”, characteristic of one of Abby’s books, and leads to much more understanding of Mira herself.

We learn more about the Atlanteans, and try to understand their history, and relationship with the Mer.

This story is mostly flashbacks, with cuts to present time, as Mira explains everything… and leads, again, typical of Abby’s books, to a huge cliffhanger that will leave you salivating for the last in the series…

Enjoy, I certainly did! Looking forward to hearing Salt and the Sisters, the voice actor is doing a stupendous job on this series.

Brilliant

This book starts right from where the last one stopped. It is wonderfully written and includes several poignant moments bringing environmental impacts on the oceans to peoples minds. It focuses heavily on Targas mothers background answering lots of questions but, bringing my new ones to mind. The ending is brilliantly done leaving you wanting more. The narration is enchanting.

Fan-flipping-tastic :)

After I finished listening to the first Siren's Curse book, I knew I couldn't wait for this book to be released on Audible, so I read it on Kindle.... and book 3.

I loved reading the books, but there's something about the narrator, Marni Penning - she really brings the story to life and puts so much emotion into the story telling, it makes you think you are right there as it's happening.

The book focuses on Mira/Bel and she tells us her story right from the beginning when she was a young child called Bel. We also find out why the Atlanteans despite the Sirens - that battle scene was just so well written and was narrated fantastically.

There's so much to say about this book, but it will give you spoilers. So all I'll say is, it's amazing and the narration is one of the best I've ever heard.

Storyline - 10/5
Narration - 10/5

Be ready for an emotional roller-coaster of a ride listening to this.
