Very middle of the road

Best and worst pirate litrpg I have listened to and only pirate litrpg I have listen to. Narrator did good accents but mispronounced a few words and her range was limited with a few of male characters very much mistaken as female.

The primary cast was fun but were heavily anime influenced. The main character went from a 15 year old adventurous girl to full hardened murder hobo within a few months. It did not feel earned.

The world was interesting and the combat was good. Out of all the common flaws found in litrpg the power curve was the only one here.

This is a stat vomit heavy book and the book even tried to reduce it mid book by the efforts of the main character. I was super excited and then proceeded to listen to 70% of what was just stat vomited to the listeners, thanks for the back to back stat wall. Now it is not the worst offender out there on stat filler but this could be reduced and consolidated. Please combine stats and put caps on titles and the numbers of powers.

I give this a sold C and filler series but I’m not DNFing it yet. Being a pirate book is the biggest boon here.
