I really enjoyed this story!! Avalon and Damon were both great characters. They have been working at the same office for 6 years and never acted on their connection / crush each one had for the other. I found this to be a sweet read with just the right amount of suspense and mystery. A great addition to this series!

Damon and Avalon
We have heard a lot about Avalon in the other books but not to the point where she had been in love with Damon for so long and the feelings were mutual! Sweet slow burn sigh!!
Sadly it took tragic events to push these 2 to admit their feelings. I hated the kidnapping and torture happened, but the story was not over the top. A.K. Evans was able to write a difficult set of scenes in a way that makes you feel like you are there with the characters, but not so drastic and detailed that you want to skip over. It was definitely well written and the narration was able to bring the right amount of emotion to life in this audio version.
Love the entire Harper Security Ops series but they can def be read/listened to as standalones.

A beautiful story of sacrifice in the name of love
Damon and Avalon broke my heart and pieced it back together. Her love for him was like no other. The friendship, trust and support they gave to each other, all the while being in love for YEARS and not saying anything to the other was beautiful. The sacrifices she made were heart wrenching and and heart warming at the same time. When they finally came together and healed each other after tragedy…gave me all the feels. The epilogue couldn’t have been more perfect for a a couple that truly deserved an HEA.

Awesome book
A ver y powerful and emotive story. It was more violent and difficult to read than this authors other books so I’m not sure how I feel about it. It was very well written tho and made for compelling listening Altho I skipped over some bits wonderful narration
