This sixth volume, following the previous one, The Paradox, portrays Sarah’s struggle to understand an intense love that seems unable to manifest—hindered by forces beyond comprehension.
She realizes that, although nothing is happening in the material world, profound changes are unfolding within her and within him. A new stage begins: she must discern, deep inside herself, what belongs to her and what belongs to Thomas—the conflicts of both, not only in the realm of consciousness but also in the depths of the unconscious. Sarah must wield her awareness in an entirely new way, as if unfolding within herself.
Since Thomas was a part of her, and given his condition, it was up to her to process the experiences and transmit them to him—he needed to understand himself. With almost superhuman force, he both longed for the relationship, driven by an overwhelming passion, and resisted it, suffering without truly grasping why.
What was blocking love from happening?
Many opposing, mysterious, and unknown forces stood in their way. To allow love to manifest, Sarah would have to uncover and dismantle them—one by one.
