Trilogy?

Why does audible only offer book one in a series and doesn’t offer the rest of the series? These books were released in 2017. Initial when I had purchased this book I had thought it was a standalone. Sure I could read the rest of the series, but then that negates having the audible membership. 🤔

Funny, Dark and what did I just listen too?

I really enjoyed this book mainly because the narration is so funny even though the subject matter is a bit dark. Melissa Moran's narration really reflects the TSTL college girl Carter and her youth. Carter is one of those girls that if she were living in the south everyone would say "Bless her heart" She manages to get herself in ridiculous trouble like all of the blondes of a slasher movie. Somehow though, she is endearing and you really want her to get away from her obsession. Her Russian would be love is the head of the Bratva and he both indulges and chastises Carter in equal measure but is obsession with her leads him to take a darker turn in his treatment of her. This book has been criticized for not being a romance but since this is a trilogy I'm sure all is not what it seems - though at the end of the book it does seem very bleak. Unfortunately the rest of the series is not in audiobook but I will read them anyway because I have to see how it all pans out. Fingers crossed Carter makes it to the last page...

Fantastic sizzle sizzle bang bang!

I absolutely loved this story. it's dark and heated, love and fright fill. so many elements and the storyline is fantastic. totally binged this entire book in one day! narrator was perfect too. I can't wait until the next book is available.....pretty pretty please release the next book soon!!!!

OMG I enjoy this title so much!

This title it was sooooo goood! The trama was amazing and the narrator did such a nice job with the title.

I was really engage with the history and I couldn't stop listening! I will love to continue listening more books like this, but I can continue listening to the book over and over and never be bored!

Would you try another book from Kat Shehata and/or Melissa Moran?

Not any time soon. I'll let a few years pass. Hopefully, here story plots would have gotten better. I don't have anything against the narrator. Melissa was the one of the two things that keep me reading. The other is me wanting to give an honest review of this book.

What was most disappointing about Kat Shehata’s story?

Carter was so annoying. The sad thing I think she reflects exactly how a sheltered girl at her age would be. That is one positive thing I can say about this book. The characters seemed plausible.

Did Melissa Moran do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Yes. Each character was well defined.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

This book was kinda like a mini soap. There is so much drama. Even though I new from chapter one that I didn't like the story, I kept listening to see how it will end.

Any additional comments?

Kinda feel bad for Vladimir. Carter needs more time to grow into an adult. He deserves better.

I'm hooked!

I loved the reading and charachter voices. Narrator really draws you in. I hope to see the rest of the series soon!
