Really Interesting

Like an old school spy+conspiracy theory novel, but set in modern times. I enjoyed listening to this

Enthralling

I felt this started slowly then it gripped me and I couldn't put it down til I was done.

I enjoy Nathan Monk's storytelling style. I enjoy his introspection and commentary on salient social topics and thought-provoking questions.

I liked the tie-ins to All Saints and felt that this could stand alone if one hadn't read All Saints first.
I'm looking forward to the next one.

Fabulous

Like a cross between Dan Brown and Tom Clancy, but more humanized and without the ridiculous romances thrown in. Good character development, and a mixed-up chapter order that I love.

Really good but intellectually scary

This is one of those books you wish was just a fun, pleasant read. Great story line. Good pacing. Interesting, well-developed characters.... And then you remember who wrote it and that there's way too much truth in it to be comfortable.

Captivating and relevant

This book is unfortunately getting more and more relevant by the day. I love how it takes real world issues and makes them interesting, blurring the line between fiction and reality. The story is well written and beautifully read.

Performance wise, better than All Saints…

But that is only because Nathan Monk isn’t narrating and editing (or rather not editing,) it. The narrator does a decent job with the material he was given. That’s where the improvement ends, sadly. This is his third novel, and Monk can’t seem to learn from his past mistakes. He goes off on long, rambling tangents that have nothing to do with the story. That alone is insanely frustrating. But on top of that, he doesn’t seem to understand story structure, how one thing is supposed to lead to the next thing until all the things lead to a satisfying conclusion. He seems to think gooey introspection is a substitute for plot progression, or political virtue signaling will make you care about the character doing it. And it isn’t even written well. The author clearly believes it is, but it’s not. At best, he just annoys the reader. All things considered, All Saints is still the worst of his novels, but that doesn’t make RSC good.
