Acerca de esta escucha

Phillip

I never expected to be the prime target of a bachelor auction, compliments of my outrageous sister-in-law, the new queen. I don't care if the internet has turned me into a royal hottie meme, I am not a piece of meat. So when the first eager single woman arrives at the palace, I send her packing. Only the damn woman refuses to leave.

Ruby

Why would I want to buy a date with an arrogant rude prince? I'm here to do a job, which I desperately need, and no delusional prince is going to stand in my way. Obviously, the "royal hottie" believes the hype.

So how did I end up winning the top prize in a royal bachelor auction, and what will I do with him? I can't let myself fall for a playboy. Besides, we're heading in opposite directions. He's going on an international tour for a year or more, and I absolutely have to get back to the US. Only this prince is used to getting what he wants, and now he wants me.

Contains mature themes.

I started listening to this series because of Troy. That is the best thing I can say about the first two books. The stories are juvenile and without the sex it would have been great for YA.

I found the female narrators acting/reading very monotone. She had an annoying cadence that ruined this series for me. I will not be listening to the rest of the books.

This book was not good. I thought I could listen even thou I listened to book one and was dissappointed. This was worst than expected. I hated this book. This book was offensive to books. Ruby was so weak as a character. The past character from book one Anna ruined this book too. The concept of a bachelor auction was so horrible. The dialoge was like the author didn't even try. The bachelor auction was so badly written I couldn't hardly listen. The Royal background of the story was ruined by this whole book. Then what really pissed me off was the way they all made Phillip out to be a man whore but he never showed any of that. He was the only character with any depth. I hate that I wasted money on this book and will not be listening to anymore of this series.

Worst than Expected

I've listened to several books, even though I've only been a member for less than a year. I have found that even a mediocre story can be saved with good narration. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. The story had great potential but it fell flat. To make matters worse, the narration was excruciating. Stephanie Wyles was clearing reading straight off the page, flat with occasional ill-timed pauses. Her pitch was too high...akin to nails on a chalkboard. The experience was painful rather than entertaining.

Dismal
