Publisher's Summary

Genesis Kelley didn't just get her heart broken. The aspiring veterinarian had it crushed in front of millions of viewers on the dating reality show Marry Me. Now, just as she's getting her life and dignity back together, her royal heartbreaker, Prince Rafael of Monterra, has landed in Frog Hollow, Iowa. And he's renting out her aunt's guest cottage.

Deceiving TV audiences for his brother's sake cost Rafe the girl of his dreams. But he's going to fix it, even if it means moving from his mountain-kingdom home to small-town Iowa. A prince doesn't give up on his rightful princess - especially once he realizes Genesis is in deeper danger than she knows.

Between fixing her truck, whisking her off to Monterra for a whirlwind date, and charming the entire town, Rafe is thawing the ice around Genesis's heart. Will it be enough to earn back her trust, protect her from her past - and sweep her into a real-life fairy tale?

5 stars

I was a little annoyed by the main character's immaturity but overall this is very sweet and a little grandiose novel. Apparently, just how I like 'em. 5 stars.

Way too much put off :(

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Yes... The story went on and on...the female was just weak and ungrateful, unforgiving, never putting past behind her. She kept putting the guy off when there was no reason. I loved the first story. I never write bad reviews but it got in my nerves.

Any additional comments?

The story line was good, it just went on way too long... I really loved first story.

Really???

The leading female in this story ruined the entire book for me. She repeatedly was so stupid I can't imagine anyone wanting to marry her. UGH. Poor Prince.

Parts were terrific and parts were just irritating

In the previous book when Genesis character was introduced, she was a sweet lovable farm girl. In this book, primarily about Genesis and Rafe, all her psychopathology is revealed. She could be lovable and sympathetic at times, and a self absorbed neurotic victim of her mentally abusive childhood at others. Her lack of ability to trust anyone along with her hurt and hate of Rafe for his previous perceived “terrible lying“ had her being terrible to him despite his showing up obviously in love with her and doing everything possible to win her forgiveness. His perceived wrongdoing seemed not as bad as she was carrying on. Her attraction and neurotic rejection of him throughout the book got a little old. Not all the book was irritating, thus the four star rating. The story was actually good. It could have been edited to shorten a little and get rid of some of the unreasonable angst. I really liked her in the previous book but this character was not as likable or fun. She had serious issues causing this however, which I presume the author was trying to portray her overcoming. I would recommend the book despite all of this, because of the good story.

OMG what an awful book!

This was the most frustrating book I’ve ever suffered through. I kept listening hoping it would get better because I loved the other books. The main character drove me crazy!! She needs to grow up!!! I listened to the end thinking it would finally get better but no such luck.

Back and forth

Genesis was back and forth & whiny the whole book. I love him, I don’t love him. I want him here, I don’t want him here. Any man would get tired of that. Then you get mad because he finally leaves. Everyone would understand him leaving, with her constant yes and no. Smart guy. Ugh. The last few minutes were hard to listen to. He saves her and she’s mad about that....

Couldn't wait for it to end

Unfortunately I'm one of those people that when they start a book they have to finish it. If I did not have this idiosyncrasy I wouldn't have finished the book. I had a hard time with Genesis, she was so stubborn and poor Rafe couldn't do anything right. At least book 2 had some redeeming qualities. I thought Genesis had to much angst in her voice.

Wonderful Book

This was the third book in the series, the second one for me to listen to as an audio book.

Sariah Wilson wrote another wonderful book. I completely enjoyed Rafe and Genesis's story!!

Lauren Ezzo narrated well. I preferred Cristina Panfilio from book 2, but enjoyed Lauren Ezzo's performance. Worth my time!

*I listened to this book through Kindle Unlimited.

Lost a star due to the ending

It was all going so well (up to about the last 4 or 5 chapters) until Genesis started getting on my nerves. I get wariness and hesitation but how many different ways can a man prove his love and have it thrown in his face. How many times will that woman throw away what she really wants for the most inane reasons. All this Christian attitude but not an ounce of forgiveness. I get enough of that in the real world. I'm reading this stuff for escape, not reality!

Meanwhile, she wouldn't even let him explain anything! Is she even an adult? Have a conversation at least before you fling him to the curb. By the end I just didn't care about a heroine who acted ungrateful, unreasonable, and immature. Rafe deserved better.
