Publisher's Summary

This Cinderella didn't plan on a prince...

Kat MacTaggart is a girl who has a plan for everything - including her holiday ski trip to Monterra with her best friend. Everything is going according to plan until she finds herself careening out of control down a mountainside and being rescued by a guy who looks like Superman's hotter Italian cousin.

HRH Prince Nico is intrigued by the woman he saved on the slopes and her refusal to date him. He offers Kat a deal - let him show her his country and he'll pay her to write articles that will help Monterra's tourism industry. Kat agrees, but given her past and lingering distrust of men, she has one condition - absolutely no kissing.

Thanks to the claims of a jealous British noblewoman and the schemes of a meddling paparazzo, Kat's rule doesn't seem to be a problem at first. But the more Kat gets to know Nico and the people around him, the harder it is to remember her keep-your-distance plan. Should she stick to it or risk everything for a chance at happily ever after?

Very, very sweet story

No surprises in this sweet Cinderella-esque story. Though I am typically drawn to a steamy romance, it is occasionally nice to break from the norm and listen to/read a lovely story sans sexual encounters. Christians would be comfortable with it, and be pleased, as well, with the religious aspect as it is inclusive of morals and the royal family’s devotion to the church. There are a few villains, but only minor angst.

Royal Date is a heartwarming story and so very apropos for the Christmas holidays.

I struggled with this book!

I struggled with this book. The leading lady was so whiny and weak. The chemistry was not convincing. The story line was not convincing. I was like reading a fairytale that was not a good read. I hate to write a negative review. It could be because I just listened to Emma Chase's Royally Screwed series.

I only listened to the entire book because I an the type of person who has to finish what I've started.

A new Princess Diaries

I really enjoyed the story. Thought that the Narrator made Nico sound a little like Dracula but I was impressed with her abilities overall.

😄💕

This is such a great story. I was really happy to see that it was finally released on Audible. I hope more titles from this author are released on Audible soon.

I have read several of the Royals of Monterra Kindle Worlds stories. Some are almost as good as Ms. Wilson's original works and I am hoping that some are released on Audible as well.

Sigh, boy do I love a good love story, this book had it in spades. I loved the Cinderella aspect of it. It was sweet and the narrator does a fantastic job with all the characters she really brought them to life. I could see the story playing out behind my eyes.

This is a clean romance and usually I don’t like those because I feel like the story suffers and it really isn’t real. But that couldn’t be farther from the truth. The author does a great job with the balance of sexual tension but without going over that line.

I can’t wait to get started on Lemon’s story and her accent alone and the way she speaks I know it is going to be a great story.

A fantastic narration

I was blown away by his performance! The multiple accents and timbers were amazing. I’d give the narrator 10 stars if I could!

I loved the story, too. Clean, romantic, and absolutely lovable.

A Lovely Clean Light Read

I actually really enjoyed this audiobook. I cannot stress how good the narration is, every character was so distinct and well vocalized. I am really impressed by the performance. I also really enjoyed the story, it is a modern fairy tale. One must suspend there disbelief to really enjoy it but I had no problem doing this. I found the character of Nico more swoon worthy than I initially thought I would at the beginning, but he definitely won me over. There was still chemistry between Kat and Nico even with no sex in the story. I recommend it to anyone looking for a clean romance in a modern setting but still has a fairy tale feeling.

For me, uneven

This is the fourth book from Sariah Wilson that I have read. The novels have been formulaic but because of her humor and writing skill were enjoyable. The first two #Awesome and #Starstruck, I couldn’t put down. The #Moonstruck and this book had stretches that I was turned off on the characters and couldn’t wait for the book to end. The point at which it occurred for me in this book was when she took the money and phone from the paparazzi. She was supposedly a high principled intelligent person that knew right from wrong and this didn’t fit with the character. Everything after this when the author was developing their relationship rang hollow. That said, there we parts or the book that were enjoyable because of the talent of the author. She has a humorous style that wasn’t quite as much on display in this book. I didn’t completely buy in to the relationship between Kat and Prince Nico. She has a real talent for capturing kids and their behavior. I probably would not recommend this book as a measure of this author’s considerable talent.

sweet but implausible

good for mindless entertainment but don't think too much about it because the holes in storyline are easy to spot.

A good royal story

I often find American stories which include a total family cringe worthy, however Sariah Wilson has done an ok job. I still cringe at times but she is such a great author I find I can overlook those bits. Shariah is a great author and her books are worth reading.
