Booking her client, Prince Dante of Monterra, on reality show Marry Me is a royal coup for PR agent Lemon Beauchamp. But thanks to a last-minute glitch, Lemon must pretend to be one of the contestants vying to win the playboy prince's love and then live happily ever after - at least until the publicity tour ends.
Prince Dante agreed to go on the show to find a wife, even though he already has the perfect candidate in mind. She's smart, funny, sexy, and completely uninterested in wealth and fame. She's also absolutely determined to keep him at arm's length.
Even if Lemon weren't already engaged, she can't trust a notorious flirt like Dante. So she ignores the lingering looks. Those subtle, thrilling touches. That pulse-quickening kiss. Until suddenly, Lemon isn't playing for the cameras. She's lovestruck for real, and just maybe, the man behind the title is the one who's always been in her heart....

Sariah Wilson wrote a great storyline. Loved the twist at the end. I read the first book of the series, and now have listened to the second book. Both forms were worth my time!!

Such a Terrific Love Story!

It made me cringe, made me cry, made me laugh, made me snort water on my desk, and oh yeah made me yell at the characters a few times so strangers think I talk to myself. What more can you ask for from a story?!
P.S. it taught a lesson too, or reestablished one at least, never trust those reality tv shows!
Great spin on a cinderella-esk tale

The narration is very good too. Ms. Panfilio was able to do the southern accent very well and at the same time she did very good male voices with italian accent. This must have been challenging for her but it came out very natural. Her narration definitely added to this wonderful story.
This book is well worth a credit but it is a better deal if you buy the kindle version and add the audible book as well.

If you could sum up Royal Chase in three words, what would they be?
(This is only for the Audible version)Cute, interesting, well-read
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
I was so put off by 1) The whole "Bachelor" premise (the names were funny, barely changed or borrowed from other "reality" shows). and 2) Oh goody, an American girl will marry a Prince, yawn.BUT - there actually were some surprises.I actually like this girl, someone who could be a friend because she has women friends, is not just "I want to be a Princess!". And the girl who read the book was completely delightful. I felt like this was indeed "Lemon", who is the protagonist and tells the story in first person.
There are a lot of "time jumps/flashbacks" that aren't clearly delineated, so that was confusing at the beginning, but eventually I figured it out.
I didn't love how she read the Prince. I kept picturing an 11 year old by who would be called a scamp :) But still better than listening to a male try to "do" female voices.
What about Cristina Panfilio’s performance did you like?
I am pretty sure she made the entire book. I so often cringe at bad accents, but she was very careful to not turn into a stereotypical "hick" voice, which is not the same as a true Southern United States accent (I even went and listened to another book she narrated to see if this was just her "always" voice. It is not!) So well done, she brought Lemon to life! Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, I actually picked this because I listen to light audiobooks when I have Monster Migraines, so i just wanted enough for a while, and this was just right. I chuckled a few times out loud toward the end, which was very nice. :)Any additional comments?
Don't judge an audiobook by its cover. :) Or the fact that it seems to be part of a bunch of books that turn every 20-something into Grace Kelly. I appreciate that Lemon can fully stand on her own two feet and IIRC, never required "rescuing" by a Prince. The previous books I listened to were ALL about that (different author, supposed to be about mysteries in a small town) so it was nice to have a grown woman, even though she is still really young, who wants to work, who starts her own company....When a reader makes ALL the difference!
