Publisher's Summary

Love struck me at the early age of five. The boy turned into a man, and I fell even deeper. Guy Webb had no idea my fragile heart belonged to him for so many years. He was too busy being my brother’s best friend and a star on the football field. He was my daydream and consumed every single thought, but he was always one step from my reach.

Beartooth Ranch was our home. The rich ranch land raised us, fostered our laughs and losses, and even gained a new family member when Guy moved in for his sophomore year of high school.

I hid my love for years. But now he’s back. Guy Webb returned a broken soldier after serving his country all over the atlas. And now it’s my job to help him heal.

My family lost everything with his return, and I can only hope I survive it.

Heartbreakingly sweet

Warning: this book will make you ugly cry! It is so beautiful and so touching but has parts that will bring you to your knees. Being able to see the main couple and their family go full circle was absolutely amazing! The narration was fantastic! The way Lacy brought out all of the emotions in her voice was amazing! I'm fairly certain hearing the crying in her voice made me cry!

Warm country romance

This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I really loved the writers style. The story is about family, loss and true love that never dies and carries on in each generation. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but if you like stories that really touch your emotions, you will love this audiobook. Narration was well done.

An audio book that's truly Royal

You think it's about a horse by the cover, it is and it's not. It's about love, life, struggles to overcome PTSD and survivors grief. It's about what our vets go through and how them and their families put the pieces back together and move on. Yes there's a horse named Royal Atlas; and how he helped in the healing process. I'm glad I listened to this audio book cause it made it come more alive to me. There aren't enough stars to put on this book or the performance of it; it's that good.

I feel like I have been put through the wringer!

Ok when this first starts off I thought “oh great. A flashback story” which I am not a fan of. But this one...well let’s just say I became invested in the characters and had tears....yes TEARS rolling down my face. Now it could be because I listened to this and the narrator put emotion into it that got to me. But really I never have tears like that over a story. I was devastated but as this book shows...life goes on. What did I love about this? Well for one the characters were spot on! I loved how devoted these two were together. Their little surprises to each other and all the special songs were amazing. Really makes me think. Also did you see that COVER? “Holy Hotness” is what I thought! I need to read this book! The story...and that end? Just wow! i still can’t get over seeing it in my head. I did see this is book 1....I’m not sure what the follow up book could be. I listened to this on audio. Jeremy York and Lacy Laurel are the narrators. Lacy does a large portion since this is mostly told from a female POV. But they both did a good job.

Amazing!

Wow, I have listened to a heck of a lot of books but wow, just wow. It really is hard to come up with the words that can give this justice. While reading this, I felt like I was living this life with them. I almost never cry while reading but this one had me ALL blubbery. I read some reviews that says "ugly cry". I didn't think I would as I don't normally. Yes, if you listen/read, you will ugly cry. It may be only once or 5 times but it will happen but know that by the end of it, the crying will be filling with sadness, joy and hope. This is so good! The narrators did so great which added to the feelings felt while listening to it. Bravo! If you like emotional books, read/listen to this right now! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. AudiobookObsession AudiobooksUnleashed

Sweet love story

A story about 2 kids that grew up together and fell in love. Along the way there was tragedy and sadness and a few obstacles. The narration was ok. I wish there was more of the male narrator. Jeremy York is one of my favorites! #audiobookobsession

Oh my. I don’t think I’ve cried this much through a book ever! The emotion in this book is amazing. I can’t get over the talent of Heidi. This book has changed me forever and I’m thankful for it. You only find a gem like this occasionally, I will listen over and over again. Thank you Heidi, also Lacy and Jeremy who brought these amazing characters to life. I highly recommend this book. #audiobookobsessionreviewer

"Sweet, Emotional Love Story "

This was such a beautifully emotional story. I laughed and cried throughout this. I loved this story from HJ Bellus. It was beautiful to see the couples and their families story go in full circle, so amazing. The brilliant narrator team of Lacy Laurel and Jeremy York brought this book to life so beautifully. Tissues will be needed, especially at the end #AudiobookObessionReviewer

Timeless love story

This is a beautiful story of lifelong love with no games between the main characters. I laughed and cried and fell in love with the Hero. Jeremy York does a fantastic 5⭐️ job on the narration of Guy, who is a new favorite book boyfriend. I loved the heroine, Molly, too. But Lacy Laurel’s narration diminishes the listening experience for me somewhat because she slurs consonants and pronounces common words in a dialect that takes me out of the story. This is my second book narrated by her, and I had similar issues with both, so it may just be me. The story is so wonderful, I’d hate for anyone to skip it on this count alone, but maybe for me it would have been better reading it myself than listening. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

My Thoughts on Royal Atlas

For a first book by this author for me, I must say it was really good. The storyline, characters, the romance... It was all good. It's a really emotional story. Some moments a little too much so for me. I'm conflicted as I write this review because while I know it was well written, and I can see why people love this author's work so much, I personally was a little put off by the ending. I'll just say it was a little reminiscent of an extremely popular story that had a beginning that made me sad, a middle that was really good, but an ending that had me vowing to never watch or read it again. And I haven't. Because every time I think about the ending, it completely puts me off. So while I feel like I loved Molly and Guy, there was just a little too much realism in the end of their story that I don't particularly enjoy in my romance. The narrators however did a fantastic job. I don't know what it is about Lacy Laurel's voice, but I feel like she pulls off country and cowgirl so well. I'm also really impressed with her voice for the male parts. She was able to give them a good distinction. But I really liked her voice for the leading man. Jeremy York had a gentle quality to his narration on this story that I think paired well with Guy. Overall the narration was perfection, and the story was good. It's just not one that could be a repeat for me. 🎧AudiobookObsession

What a beautiful story!

Its a story of young love, best friends, family, war, heartache, healing and love. So many emotions listening to Royal Atlas. The location: a ranch. The chracters are all so great and Molly and Guy's love is epic and the author shows us years after they get together, their won kids. It's really beautiful to listen to... I ugly cried at the end. #AudiobookObssession 🎧
