Story
Cassie McDowell’s life in 1980s Minnesota seems perfectly wholesome. She lives on a farm, loves school, and has a crush on the nicest boy in class. Yes, there are her parents’ strange parties and their parade of deviant guests, but she’s grown accustomed to them. All that changes when someone comes hunting in Lilydale. One by one, local boys go missing. One by one, they return changed - violent, moody, and withdrawn. What happened to them becomes the stuff of shocking rumors. The accusations of who’s responsible grow just as wild, and dangerous town secrets start to surface.

Good story, poor narration
My 4 year old loves these! Narrator is not great at all, reads too fast to the point of slurring over words. However, my son doesn’t seem to care and seems to understand the storyline fine. Stories seem age appropriate for 3-4 and up. Exciting but nothing too scary.

Entertaining for small children
My 4 year old enjoyed listening to this series and how the children solved problems and worked through different events together. These books help with spatial visualization to help children see different view points. From an adult perspective, the stories are a little boring and not as eloquently written to capture my attention, but perfect for children. The dog, Rosco, has an entertaining personality who saves the day in the end.

So much fun...
My kids listened to the stories with such delight. They enjoyed all the stories and were really happy to listen to them all. They expressed that the narrator did an amazing job with the voices and tones bringing the characters their own voices. This helped them stay engaged. My kids are 8 yrs old and loved each story. But their absolute favorite were the pumpkin patch and holiday lights one.

Fun read with Roscoe the Rascal
I own all of these paperbacks too, so I was thrilled to find this Audible collection! The last few weekends I've taken care of my little niece and nephew and snuggling on my lap for storytime is THE BEST! The little ones got a BIG kick out of Alexa reading the stories via Audible instead of me. LOL
This is a great collection of stories sure to entertain your munchkins! Highly recommend this audiobook series!

Great Series!
I started this series planning to recommend it to my brother (now 10) who likes stories like this. I was truly impressed by how much *I* liked it! Well written and the narration by Trista Shaye goes well with this story, bringing the characters to life, and making it easy to follow along with who's talking. While I saw it mentioned some where for early readers 5-6, this can just as easily be read and enjoyed my middle grade readers and especially those 7-10. It deals with many common childhood experiences, from homesickness, to sleeping away from home, and making friends. All things that are common in life, but perhaps not so common in children's literature.
