At the age of four at the death of her parents, Rose came to live with her mother’s best friend. It was a trial at first sharing the home with the woman’s son Roger who was called Rooster. The spoiled brat always seemed to get his way, but she learned to love him anyway. And not in a brotherly way but she would set her heart’s love aside for his happiness.
