Publisher's Summary

Shiekh Adil is the youngest of the three brothers of the wealthy Khalidizack family, and notorious for his playboy ways. The womanizer seems the least likely brother to marry after the high-stakes wedding bet with Shiekh Rameez. When the family entrusts him with a thankless job - supervising the loan of their art and jewels to the Louvre - he reluctantly accepts. It seems like a chore, until he meets the feisty woman who changes everything.

Samine Isme is a journalist covering the Louvre loan. Brilliant and independent, she has a cool exterior that Adil finds utterly entrancing. But the closer they get, the more he suspects Samine has motives that go beyond attraction. With the sudden theft of the Khalidizack collection on its way to the museum, they'll have to work together to restore the treasures to their rightful place.

In a race across Europe tracing stolen antiquities, an old enemy emerges to settle a score. Now, Adil must face the threat to save his family's honor and avoid his own disgrace, but can he trust that the woman he loves is really on his side?

Cute little short romance

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I received book #2 of the Wedding Bet Series and had to buy book #1 in case I needed background for book number 2. It really wasn't necessary to read them in order. Book #2 does refer to the story in the previous book, but the author gives enough detail in each book that the reader understands the history. This was another cute, fast book by Leslie North. I enjoyed this light reading. Leslie does such a great job with a complete and detailed story as well as great development of the characters The narrator, Rose DeMarco, does a great job with separating each of the characters with her voice that it is easy to immerse yourself into this audiobook.

Fun Short Story

I enjoyed the first book in this series and book 2 is even better. I think the story flowed well and I stayed on the edge of my seat. It is always nice to see a playboy change his ways and fall for an unexpected woman.

The narrator did a fairly good job bringing the story to life.

There is some action, adventure, romance, some twists, and a sweet HEA. It is part of a series but you can read as a stand alone. Fast paced and enjoyable book.

short and sweet

Any additional comments?

This audiobook was given to me in exchange for unbiased review. this was a great, short and sweet read. plot seemed similar to the first book but was great anyway. I love to read about playboys turning into real honest relationship people. a good exotic romance in a reasonable amount of time.

A playboy meets his match

From the first chapter it's clear that this is a series that needs to be listened to in order. This book has major spoilers for the first books so make sure you're listening to the series in order.

The narration for this book was good but I'm not a fan of all the characters voices, that said they were consistent.

This book contains lots of action, misunderstandings and intrigue. It keeps you guessing right up to the end, which makes for a great story.

I'm looking forward to the third book.

Good Listen

I have read several books by Leslie North, but haven't listened to many of them. She has a fast moving story. This story did not disappoint. I liked the fact that the main characters found love when they were not looking for it. This book had some unexpected twists.
initially I wasn't certain if I liked the narrator, but thought she did an overall good job. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, and/or publisher and/or narrator. This book is both a standalone and part of a series.

Great Whirlwind Adventure

Rose did a wonderful job narrating this story. I love how she gives the perfect broadcast of emotions at just the right time as she reads. Her voice is lovely and she really knows how to use it. I loved the whirlwind chase Adil and Samine go on to find the missing pieces and get them back to Paris in time. This is a great story and so wonderful. I especially love the slight twists added in at the end.
