The Moor, who was known throughout 12th century Europe for being a paid killer and a skilled combat fighter. With that bit of fame, he has everything he wants, until he meets the untamable Gabriella. Gabriella herself does not seek to live the life of a lady, even though she is the daughter of a wealthy man.. I am more interested in their intellectual communion. Strongly recommended

California author Reina Donovan, originally from Brazil, works as a registered nurse. She now approaches her passion for writing for the first time with this brief 52 page novella THE MOOR which serves as the first book in her ongoing series Crusader Trilogy.
The story was well written, but the narrator, although he did a good job at distinguishing the voices of different characters, was otherwise monotonous and mechanical sounding when listening narration or any of the first person dialog, making the central character sound a little deadpan and emotionless.
