Publisher's Summary

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author JB Salsbury brings you the thrilling and steamy conclusion to The Fighting Series.

When life brings you the perfect person at the worst possible time....

On a weekend visit to Las Vegas to visit his brother, marine Braeden Daniels meets a woman who challenges him in ways he can’t deny. The best part is she wants what he wants. No strings. No feelings. Just fun.

AJ is a Las Vegas performer who is finally living her dream. Growing up poor, she’s determined to succeed at any cost. No one will stand in her way - not even a hot marine who breezes into her life, all confidence and a cocky smile.

A few stolen weekends and neither can deny the feelings quickly growing between them. But the obstacles that keep them apart become more devastating when the Marine Corps calls Braeden away for a six-month deployment.

It’s only six months. What could possibly happen?

Angst filled military romance!

I’ve really enjoyed every book in this series and I loved this particular story! The heroine is a sweet young woman who recently moved to Las Vegas to work at a casino in an aerial/acrobatic show, also working extra as a bartender to make money. The hero is a career Marine who meets her while visiting his brother in Las Vegas and they have a sizzling hot affair. He is very reluctant to start any kind of long term relationship because he knows he will be deployed soon to the Middle East and his career doesn’t allow for much permanency. She’s dedicated to becoming successful in her performing and hoping to become wealthy, so she’s really not looking for anything long term either. Too bad they can’t seem to forget about each other! Then he’s deployed and captured by the enemy after he’s severely injured. She thinks he’s just decided not to return her affection. There’s a lot of pain in store for them both and there’s a long road back to each other. Narration was well done.

Five HOT and heartfelt stars

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would absolutely recommend this audiobook to a friend. The story is gripping right from the beginning. Then takes you through the journey of Braeden (the dedicated US Marine) and AJ (an aspiring acrobat in Las Vegas). Their path is easy and fun, until responsibilities interrupt. The two are faced with individual obstacles that have you cheering them on. Rooting for success against the fight that destiny has thrown at them. Watching them come full circle had me hooked, and hanging on every chapter until they reach the end game.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved how it sent the message of overcoming hardship. Of sticking by the ones you love, even if it's not the easiest path. Because in the end, it was absolutely the right decision, no matter the struggle.

What does Ryan West and Erin Mallon bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I've been a fan of both Ryan and Erin since the first Fighting series audiobook. And holy moly, they themselves have gotten even better with every new release. Erin's hits every single emotion throughout the story and has you feeling everything AJ does. She pulls you straight into the pages of the book, adding a dimension you don't get simply by reading.

Ryan... oh Ryan. Your voice has gotten even stronger and more gritty over time. The deep base of his vocal range reflects perfectly on the sweet and funny, but very rugged marine that is Braeden Daniels. And just like Erin, pulls you into the story giving you the sense that you're right in it. Watching it unfold.
These two are so so talented, and I look forward to things to come.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not wanting to reveal any spoilers, I will say... The second half has an entire sequence with Braeden that had me so invested, I found myself doing nothing but listening to the book. Wondering how the story would unfold, and finding that it in the end, JB Salsbury nailed it!

Any additional comments?

My overall review of the story itself:

The book opens with a confident/cocky, and sexy marine, Braeden Daniels, who meets AJ Pines, a Las Vegas acrobat.

AJ is the perfect counterpart to Braeden. He's a true Daniels boy, and doesn't lack any of the humor and whit we've come to expect from JB Salsbury.

Even though these two are a perfect match, life doesn't always move in the perfect direction. That's when the story grabs you by the hair and I'll be honest... is nearly impossible to put down. ( causing me to ignore the dishes piling up in my sink ;) )

I swooned, blushed, cried, and laughed my butt off. This story will be forever one of my all time favorites.

A great but very sad end of the series.

What did you like most about The Final Fight?

I have read all the fighting books and this was just the perfect ending to an amazing series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Final Fight?

I loved when past characters came into the story and anything with Blake is so funny.

Have you listened to any of Erin Mallon and Ryan West ’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I am a big fan of both Erin and Ryan and have listened to loads of their narrations. I have listened to all the fighting books and i just can't decide which I like best it's always the one I am reading.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The war parts are hard to listen to and when any of the characters get hurt is hard.

Any additional comments?

I am so sad this is the last book in the series as JB Salsbury is the reason why I started listening to Audio book just love the way she tells a story.

love this series!

was keen to know that Bray had a happy ending in his sights and though it was a tempestuous journey he earned his HEA. Great series and if you haven't read or heard any of the books it is well worth your time, starting at the beginning!!
