Amazing!!!

I loved reading the book so I knew I would enjoy this. Tod Scott did a fabulous job of bringing H. J. Perry's vision to life. Conner and Lee were already sexy and hot and listening to them made them more so. I love this series so much. When I listen to a story I have already read I'm able to imagine the characters even more vividly. Plus, there are things that you might of missed or not placed as much importance on that you should have. This is one you'll want to listen to again and again.

What other book might you compare Our Secret Wedding: Our Secret Christmas to and why?

I would loosely compare this with Odin Nightshade's First Time Bareback Cowboy's series. It has the same sweetness in the romance and most of the angst is over what friends, family, and coworkers will think.

What about Tod Scott’s performance did you like?

Scot did a good job with the emotions of the story and was consistent in the different voices throughout.

Both stories were interesting and engaging. I'm not sure if it was the story itself or the way it was narrated, but there were times that it felt like some chapters ended a bit abruptly. Other than that, the flow was good and kept me listening.

This audiobook is a book 1 and 2 of The SHS Series. What an engrossing book the writing was fantastic. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters wonderful. The characters were well developed and thought out. The characters are engaging their emotions can be felt through the story. Lee and Conner are the MC’s of this book. There was humor, family, friends, workmates, hiding, secrets, a Christmas party, traveling, surprises, a hospital, hot steamy moments as well and so much more in this book.

I can’t say that I was impressed with the narration it was average. Although he did attempt to change the tempo of his voice and show emotion so it wasn’t monotone. It was good enough that it didn’t detract from the story too much. His accent fit in the story line.

Here is a quote from Our Secret Wedding, “But Lee had never seen the room look like this. Flowers overwhelmed him. Colorful, floral displays were in every direction. “Having a clear out at a local florist?” Lee’s mouth spoke, but he instantly regretted sharing his thoughts. Connor glanced at him from the kitchen area and looked away as if a little embarrassed.”. And here is one from Our Secret Christmas, “Connor, however, found it quite funny now he understood the joke, but the time for laughing had passed. “You didn’t mention going to the Duck and Donkey or meeting up with friends,” Lee said. “Being a rather dull, almost married, stay-at-home couple ourselves, we didn’t know about the stripper night until about an hour ago.”. There is more but you will need to listen to the book which I can highly recommend.

Would you consider the audio edition of Our Secret Wedding: Our Secret Christmas to be better than the print version?

no.. i will always love print more but the audio adds some fun and intrique into it you don't get from something without a "voice"

all of them.. i loved how the narrator makes each character pop for me

the emotions.. the feelings..

Fun Construction Based M/M Romance

This is a steamy listen and Tod Scott has a great voice for this story, he keeps it authentic sounding.
H.J. Perry writes with a clear voice and a great sense of humor. This story is both fun and interesting especially as it gives another perspective to many issues. He made me stop and think about knowing who you are and being able to be up front about who you love.
Connor is a romantic who makes all the right moves and finally convinces Lee he is serious when he plans a surprise trip to Gretna Green to propose. They plan it all and keep it secret from all the guys at work not thinking they would be accepted in the construction industry. They are surprised by the response of the workers and family when Connors accident outs them both and they are accepted without a blink of anyone's eye.
