Disappointed

Can't get over how irritating and dingy Lindsay was in this book.. returned to get my credit back. Could have been very interesting but not enough build up of character. And Lindsay is beyond irritating...

I like the story but not the performances.

I've read the other been book in this series and was impressed enough to continue the series. But this audiobook definitely makes me want to cringe. The male voices and narrator are decent but the females voice is horrible. HORRIBLE! I would've rather the male voice actor do all the voices than to listen to the "nails on the chalkboard" that her voice mimimcs. Her voice or her acting is not suited at all for romance. She sounds more like a 50's cartoon character. Its a stark contrast the males smooth voice and acting style.

A Well Written Menage!

Lindsey's Rescue was a great addition to the series. Michelle took the concept of a ménage, and delivered a refreshing and original plot, with multilayered characters.

Often, when you hear about ménage, you think brothers, best friends, alphas, but not two males from different social classes, with personalities as different as night and day. To make it even better, Michelle created a whole planet that thrives on threesome marriages know as Triad's.

Lindsey's travels to Garulax looking to enter in a Triad marriage. During the selection ceremony, she's makes a proposal to two rival Senate Leaders Zadal and Baruk, to enter into a Triad. At first, the Senate Leaders were reluctant, but were impressed with Lindsey's beauty, and quirky ways, and quickly agree. I enjoyed the plot development around the marriage. You get a good sense of what a marriage with three could be like, their different personalities, and how they interacted with each other, and oh, the incredibly sexy love scenes! Love them a lot! Even better, not all the love scene were between the three of them.

Admittedly, I had "change in narrator blues….." However, I adjusted to Ian James and Jennifer Ann fairly quickly. This duo did a really good job, so I honestly can't complain. The sound effects added a nice touch, but were not overly done.

Definitely looking forward to the next book in the series, and recommend this series to any Sci-Fi Romance fan! It's worth a credit!

Disappointed

Not as good as the first book. First I want to say that the narrators were very good, and I believe all of them were in an audiobook from M.K. Eidem, Cassandra's Challenge. It even used the same format of music between each chapter. Which I have to say was annoying. Because it just extended the time of the audiobook. But I liked the story line of the book, it had great potential except it ended way too fast, even with an epilogue. The characters, well they lacked depth. I did not like Lindsey in the beginning, she seemed to childish (skipping around every where she went) but she seemed to grow a backbone halfway through. Her husband's were good, but "Z", you wrote him as a strong male, but his insecurities toward the triad kept coming up way too such ppl, even with Lindsey trying her best to show how much she cared for him. I gave three stars because the narrators did a good job, otherwise I don't know if I could have finished the book.

Great!!

This series are the first Michelle Howard books I have listened to but I will tell you I could not stop . Book #1 is by far my favorite. It was so emotional...I loved them all.. Book three is my least favorite even though I loved it too. It got a little over the top in details but it also closed the gap on things mentioned in the first two books. Wonderful!!!

OUTSTANDINGLY DONE!

This is the first time thst I have listened to this series on Audible Books. I was gripped from the first page that I heard. The people who were doing the narration were excellent.

When Lindsay went to seek out marriage, she was in for a rollercoaster ride. I felt the emotions of all the characters and couldn't turn off the book. I even listened to it as I was shopping and doing dishes. I recommend anyone who has read the book get it in Audible you wont regret it.

Disappointing. .

Really enjoyed Books 1& 2, very disappointed with this book. The storyline had an interesting start with the two male characters not being friends /relatives. Lindseys character went from bad to worse. From having a positive disposition to being naive, stupid & extremely irritating. The narration also needs a mention. The male voice was passable & I wished that he did all the character voices. The female narrator was dreadful - no emotion or conversational speech pattern - just high pitched statements (please bring back Michael from books 1 & 2?) 😕

it's hard to get past the narrators

I really liked the first two books in the series and was excited to move to the next but Mr. James sounds like a robotic 1940s actor with his odd accent and pronunciation. And Jennifer Ann is APPALING! She sounds like Dorothy from the wizard of Oz throughout the story and with "modern slang", cursing and sex scenes it made me hate Lindsey.

Good read and a good listen.💛💛💛💛

I love this series nothing better than strong handsome aliens with sence of humor and honor. The book start a little slow for my taste and for Lindsey been so out going in the beginning of the series, she was awkward around her man, but she also acknowledge this. Smikie does it for me in this book and I really getting curious about Nico.
Nico's book is going to be very interesting.

best one so far

This was by far my favourite. Loved the characters, and the narration and sound effects were great. Only downfall was that it ended too soon and too abruptly. I would have liked to see her give birth and her husbands reactions.

This set

I loved this set of three stories, however i could have done without the extra long pauses between chapters and the twinkly music at the end and beginning of each chapter

I kept wanting to take an editor's pen to this...

Jumpy plot, poorly written.

I kept listening to the story, waiting to find out why these two very different men, political rivals at times, would chose to marry each other and the annoying Lindsey. I didn't find out.
