Publisher's Summary

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author of science fiction and paranormal romance brings another action, adventure, and suspense-filled story to transport listeners out of this world. Gracie Jones was little more than a child when Earth was invaded by an alien species. Escaping into the subway tunnels of New York City, she hid in fear of being captured. Discovered by four men who became her protectors, she fought alongside them, and they became known as the Freedom Five. At 17, she made a decision that turned the tide in the war between Earth and the Alluthans, but in exchange, she gave up all that she knew. Kordon Jefe is a Zion Warrior and the commanding officer in charge of the Confederation of Planets' military. When an unknown species begins attacking some of their outer settlements, he is assigned to discover who they are and stop them - at any cost. Gracie finds herself stranded millions of light years and hundreds of years in the future in a distant galaxy on an undeveloped moon. When an old enemy threatens once more, she does not hesitate to use her knowledge to try to stop them once again. Only this time, it is not just Earth she will be saving, but the Confederation itself. When their two worlds are thrown together, Kordon is unsure what to do with the strange, delicate creature who fights and behaves unlike anyone he has ever encountered before. One thing he does know - he plans to keep her.

5 Gracie’s Touch Stars

I don’t know what it is about S.E. Smith, but she makes Aliens freaking awesome!

I can’t even I love this book, and the world she creates. Gracie is human and she ends up saving earth and a lot of other life forms.

Kordon is a unique Zion Warrior and finds himself feeling some pretty intense things toward this oddly unique human.

And Gracie adapts so well you almost forget she is human, I loved it! I can’t wait to read book 2 <3

And David Brenin’s narration is freaking fantastic he makes listening effortless.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Well worth the credit...

I thought this book was great. It is so much more than a wham bam thank you alien man novel. There is drama, action, romance; honestly a really good listen. I had a few minor problems with the story which kept it from five stars. Specifically, and admittedly this is a pet peeve of mine, I found that Gracie was willing to jump into bed just a little too fast for someone who is grieving. I just find it hard to believe that you can switch emotions so easily. I also struggle when writers write sex scenes where someone is talking dirty and says something like...you're going to be so sexy once you're pregnant with my baby. Pregnancy is a lot of things: magical, incredible, awe-inspiring...but sexy??? And this scene, in particular, just really harped on it. I like the "I want you to have my baby" talk better during sweet times, not sexy times. These were really small things, though. Otherwise, this book was so much fun to listen to.

In regards to narration, I cannot say enough good about David Brenin. I've listened to several books he has narrated and he is always amazing. You will truly immerse yourself in the story forgetting someone is reading it to you. He absolutely earns his 5 stars.

Great Sci-fi romance!

This audiobook was just a delight to listen to. This is one of the best stories that SE Smith has ever written in my opinion. The premise of the story is that Earth has fallen to hostile aliens and much of the population devastated. Gracie, the heroine, was a preteen when the aliens came and has survived living in the old subway and drainage systems along with other survivors. She's a computer wiz and for years has done a daily radio broadcast to encourage the resistance against the aliens and to give the survivors hope. When an opportunity to use a captured alien spacecraft to bring down the mothership arises, Gracie is the only one capable of doing the programming. She volunteers to go up and do the mission alone. During this space flight an accident happens and she's thrown through a rift in space and crashes on an unknown moon. Listening daily to the frequencies, she tries to communicate with anyone to no avail. After years alone, one day someone answers and soon another group of aliens led by a startlingly handsome commander arrive to bring her to their ship. There she finds out that it's been over 800 years since the war on Earth. That's all I'm going to say or it will spoil the story! Narration was very good, but I wish there had been two voices.

Wonderful

Take a journey with Gracey Jones as she starts out on earth fighting aliens, spends 3 years on a moon alone to finally be found by a Zion warrior. Gracey once again battles the alien race that almost destroyed earth, but this time love is at her side. Can she make it through all the trials and tribulations that face her or will she crumble. You have to read it or listen to it, to find out. Susan does an amazing job with this story as usual and the narrator is excellent.

OMG Awesome Book

This book had me from the first sentence ! I was so into it that I thought I'd never be able to stop crying. I cried because she lost her first love on earth . Then I couldn't stop crying almost completely throughout the book . This book brings out your emotions strongly. You're either crying or laughing out loud ! I was up all night because i couldn't stop listening. If you only read one book this week or month make it this book !

Love It!

I absolutely love this book, in fact I've read/listened to it three times. The characters are so magnificent, I feel in awe of Gracie and am soo jealous of her at having Kordon. He's an amazing hero! I actually think most of her characters are great, they have a strong sense of loyalty. S.E. Smith builds such wonderful worlds I get totally sucked into them. They feel so real.

I love SE Smith books!

And this is no different. Sci-fi Romance at its best - unique worlds to immerse yourself in, characters you can get behind, plots that keep you surgically attached to the book. Happy Sigh!

Excellent Storyline

If you could sum up Gracie's Touch in three words, what would they be?

Compelling, Addictive, Enjoyable

What was one of the most memorable moments of Gracie's Touch?

When she sets out to upload the virus into the alien craft and she's saying goodbye to eveyone.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

When she's crash landed on the planet and is trying to reach out to someone to hear her. The hope that she feels that she can actually connect to someone is inspiring.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Compelling adventure on how to believe and hold out hope.

Any additional comments?

I loved Gracie's Touch and the storyline that this series followed. S.E. Smith certainly knows how to get you addicted. I've read this story a couple of times and listened to the audio version a few time and can honestly say I love listening to it just as much as I enjoyed reading it.

Gracie definitely touched me

S E Smith has done it again. Another well thought out storyline that grabs you, and makes you want to know what happens next. I like David Brenin as the narrator, especially as he doesn't try to put on accents, but tells the story, with, what I think, is a voice that makes you want to listen for hours. This book didn't appear on the U.K. website right away, but when I got in touch with S E Smith about it, she and her team worked hard to find out what the problem was and rectified it. I really enjoyed listening to this book and am waiting patiently for the next.

A beautiful story

What i love about this audiobook is the beautiful storyline, it's heartfelt, thrilling and great development of characters and a fantastic ending, but most of all David Brenin's narrative, he has the sexiest voice ever and able to play any character and still distinguish each one. Thanks Susan and David for a job well done xox
