Publisher's Summary

As one of New York's Finest, firefighter Cash Ryder is always prepared. When a woman's car skids off the side of a mountain during a snowstorm, he's there to rescue her. Cash is totally focused on the woman's well-being, but within minutes of getting her to safety, he realizes that he's nowhere near prepared for the heat that rolls off of sensual, smart-mouthed, and stubborn Siena Remington.

As a model, Siena Remington has dated some of the wealthiest, most handsome men in the industry, and she's made peace with the idea that most men are just looking for eye candy and they wouldn't know how to romance a woman to save their lives. When she's rescued by a tall, handsome stranger, she thinks that maybe, just maybe, she's found her own real-life romantic fairy tale - until he opens his mouth and everything that comes out is gruff, ornery, and aggravatingly sexy.

Thrown together during an annual firehouse calendar photo shoot, the passion between Cash and Siena sizzles, and neither one knows how to control the flames. After an evening of verbal sparring followed by a sinfully sensual night, their darkest secrets are revealed - and so is Cash's warm, romantic heart. But Siena's secret might be too much for big, strong, always-prepared Cash to handle - and Siena is forced to choose between a man who's everything she's ever dreamed of and the opportunity of a lifetime.

So much realism

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I was a little hesitant when I started this book. I mean a book about a famous model and a fireman. Really?! But I love the way they each had individual problems and they were able to eventually talk about them with each other. I found their struggles realistic and believable. Although it was hard for Cash to deal with, I love the way he came to terms with his risk taking. I think it was the only way he would've changed and it was not rushed. The history was thorough and forcing him to relive it made him realize what he was risking.

What did you like best about this story?

The best part about this story was how real it was. Granted Siena is a model, but her struggles with how far to go to win a contract was believable. How many people have not considered sacrificing family time for the job. To me that is the same concept. Your morals, your beliefs, your life should not have to be sacrificed for security or to get a promotion or to keep a job.

Which character – as performed by B.J. Harrison – was your favorite?

I love Rex. That sexy drawl and alpha male attitude. We only see him for a short time in this book, but he is definitely someone whose story I want to listen to.

Sparks unite

Stubborn…this work could easily be used to describe both of these characters. Cash is a fireman who is always prepared, always watching out for others. But he is also withdrawn and not himself after a recent situation at work. Siena is a model and is not the best at preparation and planning. She gets in her car to visit a friend in a snow storm and ends up off the road needing to be saved by none other than Cash. Once over the shock of the rescue, Siena returns to her feisty self. Even though they both felt the initial spark, they avoided it due to their initial stubbornness. That is until they are thrown together during a firehouse calendar shoot where that spark turns into a full on fire.

It was so much fun trying to watch Cash and Siena resist each other! Melissa’s writing was so strong that I could FEEL the emotions between these two!

My Thoughts on Flames of Love

Siena is officially my favorite Remington right now. However with the way these books just seem to keep getting better and better, that could change.

For now I can confidently proclaim Siena my favorite. Her fire and sassy spirit made her a pleasure to read about. Cash was the perfect match for her. She needed someone who could match her wit and not be scared off by her confidence and assertive nature. She wasn't exactly what I thought from the previous two books and I love that. I got to learn more about her and see all the depth there was to her. I also really enjoy when two character aren't only well suited but also exactly what the other needs on a deeper level. That was Siena and Cash.

Once again the narrator B.J. Harrison was a pleasure to listen to. He gave the characters different and distinct sounds. He just seemed like a good fit and brought the story to life for me.

I look forward to the next Remington story and more books by Melissa Foster.

Loved it!!

This is a hot burning story that you will love. Cash Ryder, New York's hunky firefighter, rescues Siena Remington, a model, after she slides off the road during a snowstorm. They had a great connection, whether it was on an ice rink or playing in the park. Then her agent gives her an assignment to go on a date with a famous quarterback to give her more exposure. Cash is jealous, but gives his blessings to the one date. Then her agent tells her she must see him more than once. This puts a cog in the wheel of love. Siena must decide if she wants Cash or the money the dates can bring her.
The narrator was super great to give the characters spot-on voices.

Cash and Siena are HOT!

Once again BJ Harrison is amazing. While working out, doing dishes, and other horrible chores he manages to entertain me with his amazing voice, cadence, and feelings. I found myself not minding doing jobs and looking for reasons and places to listen to more of Siena and Cash's story.

Siena and Cash are HOT! Steamy hot! The minute they saw each other I could feel the sparks fly. I love that Siena is a top model yet she is down to earth and happy just hanging out in sweats and a sweatshirt. Cash is the absolutely most loyal person I have ever met. He never doubts Siena, he trusts her even as she gives him reason not to. When he is willing to put his feelings aside and give up the love of his life, all so Siena can have the modeling deal of a lifetime, I know that he is a true keeper.

With every installment of the Braden, Remington, and the Snow family the story gets better and better. Although each book can be read as a standalone book I highly recommend you check them all out. With each book I find a new crush and Cash is definitely the newest.

Two kinds of fear

Wonderful book. Melissa Foster always tells stories with such emotion, you feel like your in the story.

So we have cash the fire fighter.. now let’s pause. Because I was just taught something I had never thought about. How emotional and how deep the pain can be for fire fighters. Cash wasn’t able to save an elderly gentleman and he carries that loss in his heart. He looks after the wife, and he takes risk...scary risk at fires. Just to try and not loose another soul.

Sienna is a top model. Yes we hear how they need a perfect body. We know men ogle them. But Sienna is falling in love with Cash and her PR person is wanting her to date someone to enhance both there careers. But he’s a slime.

There suppose to be exclusive but Sienna is struggling with wanting to win a modeling job.
Her mother and the Braden’s have an intervention with her.

And Cash is getting one with his brother and the Braden men.

All the things in life they struggle with to become one. And as usual BJ Harrison does an awesome reading.

A must read or audible. You won’t be sorry!,,

I love the Remington’s

Cash Ryder is always prepared and as a fire fighter he needs to be. He was definitely not prepared when Siena Remington ends up in his life. Cash and Siena have a rocky start but the feelings they have for each other can not be denied. I love the Remington series and Flames of Life did not disappoint. I loved reading and listening to it as well. B. J. Harrison has the ability to draw you deeper in the book when you listen. What a great narrator.

Super Hot!!

Oh my I love this book. Who doesn’t love a hot fireman. This book is about Siena Remington and Cash Ryder. Cash rescued Siena in the middle of a snow storm when her rental car slid off the road. There was a little love/hate going on at first. Which made for a great passion when they finally got together. Siena’s job put some stress on the relationship when she had to “date” someone for her job. Another great job by Melissa Foster. BJ Harrison does and awesome job on narration.

Cash has his hands full with Siena - and so lucky!

Where does Flames of Love rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I really likes this audiobook - I had read the story a couple of years ago but listening to it was a whole new experience - I feel that I was truly able to visualize this story.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene in the book is probably when they are in Colorado and Siena runs to the Gage's home and is not wearing her own coat or shoes and she professes her love to Cash by indicating she is never prepared - I can almost see Cash rolling his eyes indicating - yup, so true! My unprepared girlfriend does it again.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Siena - unlike any supermodel you have ever met (in the best way possible!)

Any additional comments?

LOVED, LOVED this story. I loved that the journey for Cash and Siena is not nearly as straight as many tend to be. I really liked the social issue of Siena and what she would do for money was addressed and how it was addressed. Melissa Foster as an author is great because she is not hesitant to address big issues.

Good book!

This was a good read. The characters Sienna and Cash were relatable characters that were well written and enjoyable characters with chemistry. The plot moved along well and I enjoyed catching up with the characters from the previous books as well as characters from the other series. The narration was clear and kept me engaged as a listener. I enjoyed this book from the beginning and would recommend it to others.

Hot!

I didn't think I'd enjoy listening to Melissa Foster books, as I'd already given the character voices, but I love shutting the world out for a few hours and listening to these. The smooth voice of B J Harrison, soothes and relaxes you and you are soon transported into the world of the Bradens etc.

The story of Sienna and Cash is one of my favourites. Who doesn't enjoy a story about a firefighter and It is great to finally meet Sienna, as she has only been a side character in her brothers books and its lovely to finally have her story.

Sienna and Cash don't have the easiest of stories. Their first meeting started well, Cash being the hero and rescuing her from an accident in the snow, and being completely the opposite to the men who usually talked to her. Sienna gets completely caught up in the romance of the rescue, but things soon change. They part not knowing they will see each other again, only to be thrown together at a photoshoot for a firehouse calendar. The spark is still there and the passion intensifies. They both have stories to tell and problems to overcome, but their feelings are their guide back to each other.

Flames of Love is also an introduction to the Ryders, who also have their own stories to tell :)
