Publisher's Summary

This story isn't a standalone novella. Please enjoy at least Reawakening the Dragon (Stonefire Dragons book five) first.

On the day Jane Hartley’s online video series finally launches, she and Kai receive word that his younger half-sister, Delia, is missing. Gaining permission to search for her in Wales, Kai and Jane work together to find the teenage dragon-shifter before she winds up in the hands of the dragon hunters, or worse.

As the danger amps up, Kai and Jane’s relationship is put to the ultimate test. Will Kai and his dragon choose Jane above all? Or will a ghost from Kai’s past end up tearing them apart?

Novella with a happy ending. Eighteen plus for explicit language and sexual situations.

ARC Audio Review- Finding the Dragon

I love learning more about the Stonefire Dragons! Jane and Kia are having another adventure, and it was exciting to be sure, but I was left wanting a touch more...like will they ever have a child of their own? I would have bet that was going to happen towards the end, but alas...no such luck. I also would have liked to have seen Jane kick Delias hind end, but that's was my personal feelings while Kia was in the hospital. However, that is just nit picking on my part due to my emotions while listening. I loved seeing the families and clans interact and bringing some of Jane and Kia' s issues to a close too though. I thoroughly enjoyed this audio book! I can't wait to see how all of these characters move in future books! This world Ms. Donovan is creating is spectacular! The Narrator nailed this one! I just love listening to him and his different accents and voices! I would recommend this book, but for sure I would say read book #5 first if you haven't read them all in order yet .

I will not leave you no matter what.

I love Kai and Jane. I was a bit hoping that we got to see some of Jane's podcast however like the synopsis says it is mainly about trying to find Kai's baby sister. She decides to try to find the missing kids that was mentioned in the previous books. This is a very quick read and a lot of conflicts within Kai's and Jane's relationship has been resolved in this book. I am glad for that and I cannot wait for them to finally have a baby since, Kai's and Jane's moms are completely and utterly ready for grandkids.

I did enjoy the setup for a new character who I am hoping gets a book; the clan leader and the one that got away. I'm feeling that the little boy that was rescued is the nephew of the clan's leaders true mate. Hopefully that story is just around the corner however I do know that Jessie Donovan has a number of books to write before he gets his own story.

True love...take that dragon woman!

It's always nice to go back and read about couples you previously fell in love with. This is a cute story about Jane and her dragon man Kai. You should really read or listen to their full length book 'Reawakening the Dragon' before you listen to this one.

Kai's teenage sister is missing so he returns home with his mate Jane at his side. Going home is never easy, especially when you left with a broken heart. There were a few twist in this short story that I wasn't expecting along with one that, like a bad accident, you saw coming but knew you couldn't do anything to stop it.

I really enjoyed listening to Matthew Lloyd Davies once again.

Looking back

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this book to a friend. I have enjoyed the Stonefire series immensely. I love the way the stories build on each other. How each couple are intertwined with each other. We get a chance to see prior couples and get a glimpse into the families an how they are all connected. I think that is one of the best things about this series. Some series you know belong together but are not really interwoven. Those are good too, but I find I like the ones where you get a glimpse of others we have read about.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked being able to see more in depth into Kai and Jane’s past and how the different changes build them as a couple.

What about Matthew Lloyd Davies’s performance did you like?

I think that Matthew does an amazing job. He has such a great range in dialects and just pulls you into the stories. I like the ay that for each character he is able to make it so that you know who is talking just from his voice

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The past that will make the future unbreakable.

Female Dragon vs Human

First off, Matthew Lloyd Davies is a great narrator and he's done a wonderful job with all of the dragon books by Jessie.

I think this is one of my favorites stories... I love the relationship between Kai & Jane and they are so good together, so when their relationship is threatened in the story I was a bit nervous. Without giving too/anything away, the plot thickens, but everything falls right where it should. We get a bit more info on new/old characters and I can't wait to read about them too.

I would 100% recommend this book... but as always, I would first recommend you read ALL her books (the first 9) to get a better idea about the dragons and the characters.
