Publisher's Summary

For Rosemary Reynolds, life in tiny Morning Glory, Mississippi, is just like the fabric store she runs: it seems she's always waiting around for someone else to make the first stitch. Then a dear childhood friend passes away, leaving behind a gift that sends Rosemary on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

Despite her mother's protests, Rosemary heads to New York City for a stay in her cousin's trendy SoHo loft. On her first day in town, a wrong turn leads her to Little Italy...and into the arms of handsome, outgoing Sal Genovese. Sal's mother wants him to marry a longtime family friend, but to him, Rosemary is a breath of fresh country air, and he's happy to show her a good time. Soon, Rosemary is swept up in a world she thought only existed in movies. To turn a two-week fling into a forever thing, she and Sal will have to make every moment count.

One I'll listen to again and again!

Any additional comments?

I loved this book so much that even though it's on Kindle Unlimited for both Kindle and Audible I felt it necessary to purchase it to have forever. This story was funny, emotional and charming. I really have to give my compliments to the narrator because she brought to life all the characters, and did a fantastic job with the accents. They were believable and not over the top as some narrators I've heard.

I love the premise for this series and felt that Rosemary and Sal were great characters to start it out. Rosemary is sweet but lives a fairly sheltered life under her mothers overprotective thumb. Sal is floundering through life a bit, still reeling from a heartbreak, unfocused and tempted to give in to the easy route his mother has planned for his life. Together, they help each other learn to live.

While I'm more a fan of "slow burn" romances, this insta-love romance reeled me in and I'm already listening to it a second time. It was somewhat predictable, but that didn't impact my enjoyment one bit.

Uniquely Southern and addictably fabulous!

If you love a good romance, like a really good reader/characterization and appreciate true Southerners, you will adore this book. I couldn't stop listening but now I am so sad I finished it! When is the next one out?????

Charmingly splendid!

Bravo to the narrator who made this whole story work so well! This is not a deep, thought provoking novel. However, I give it 5 stars because it is exactly what it's supposed to be. A charming story with like able characters and a plot line that flows and doesn't leave one confused about what's happening. This is a feel good story that has dialogue that made me chuckle and moments that made me tear up.

Super enjoyable listen!

Best narrator I've heard yet!

A good story told by a great narrator! I ended up finishing this story in 2 sittings because I enjoyed it so much. When listening you could clearly understand when different people were talking, she would adjust the tone, pitch &/or accent enough that even when two men (or several women) were having a conversation, you could tell who was talking. And she also did a great job, in my opinion, of portraying the emotion of the characters

Amazing narrator!

The story was belivable, giving hope to those that trust in their gut when 'falling in love ''. There was the right amount of love, sex, drama and not too much of any one thing. The lose of a friend with beyond the grave ambitions for her friends isn't cheesy. I appreciate a narrator who can do male and female voices well. She brought realness to each character and along with the author helped me create images in my mind. I look forward to the next book by this team.

The Voice Is Everything

What did you like best about Charmingly Yours? What did you like least?

I loved the story line and I really liked the characters. Rosemary wasn't nearly as passive as I expected her to be.

What didn’t you like about Brittany Pressley’s performance?

This was my first audible book but I knew right away that I wasn't going to be a fan of one person doing both POVs. The voice for Rosemary was okay but I was sadly disappointed with the representation of Sal. Being a Jersey native I found the NY accent to be the typical over exaggerated accent often associated with those of us from the NY/NJ area.

Any additional comments?

While I wasn't impressed with the narration, I did like the story and characters and liked them enough to try book number two.

Narrator was exquisite and story was fun!

This was such an entertaining experience! From the beginning, the narrator set the tone of the book and drew me in! When she spoke for different characters, each one was amazingly different and I was always able to figure out who was speaking. She did the accents so well too. Only reason for one star less is because the author was sometimes overly descriptive in some parts/convos of the story and the ending wrapped up way too fast. I know I will listen to this book again some day. Just sad that it's over now and what will I do to get my Sal fix...

Loved the story line!

Where does Charmingly Yours rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book ranks pretty high on my list. I have only read/listened to a handful of romance novels in my life, and this one was really nice. It had an interesting story line, I loved the back story about the charm bracelet and I'm looking forward to reading the other books in the series. The romance was not overdone and the writing of it was not forced or cliched.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I think Sal was my favorite. The Brooklyn accent grated on my nerves at the beginning, but it started to grow on me eventually, especially when he was portrayed as a caring person who actually had feelings instead of just some dude who was trying to get in a girl's pants.

What about Brittany Pressley’s performance did you like?

I think she did the southern accent very well. I'm not quite sure about the Brooklyn accent, I don't know if I didn't like the way she did it, or if I just don't like Brooklyn accents. But overall, I think she did a good job.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me cry at the very beginning, when the death of the friend was explained, as I had just lost my father a couple days before. It made me laugh a couple times towards the end, but even though it wasn't very "funny", it was a very good book, I didn't want to put it down.

Any additional comments?

I did not understand the point of including Hannah's boyfriend in the story. I kept thinking he was going to turn up again later, but he never did.
