Can my straight friend help me cash in my v-card by my birthday?

In one month, I turn thirty-five with my virginity still intact. Is there anything more embarrassing than knowing most of my French students have gotten more action than me? Je suis triste.

When I accidentally reveal this secret to my close friend and co-worker Seamus, South Rock's baseball coach, he offers to help me round the bases. It has to be a joke, because Seamus is one million percent straight.

There's no way he'd want to fool around with a chubby language nerd like me, even though I've harbored a secret crush on him since the day he first walked into the teachers' lounge.

But then I realize he's not joking.

I'm either entering thirty-five with a bang . . . or a friendship going up in flames.

Contains mature themes.

All books in the South Rock High series are amazing. Best thing is that characters from Browerton University pop in from time to time. Love it.

Three down and one to go!!

Captures a phenomenon not often treated—the gay virgin in his 30’s who has not had good luck meeting a suitable partner in his youth, for whatever reason. It’s more common than we realize. The story unfolds very convincingly with believable dialogue and characters. It’s a sensitive tale, expertly read by the narrator.

Really good dialogue

Second favorite story in this series! Seamus and Julian are a great couple. I love how these characters developed and cheered for their triumphs. A.J. Truman does it again! Iggy Toma, one of my favorites, does comedic narration so well, I was totally caught up in this story. Well done!😃

More Humor!

All the characters from the previous books in the series surround the MCs in this one with love, support, and humor. The MCs were delightfully distinct from each other. I do wish the narrator had made their voices more distinct; in fact, his Staten Island accent for Seamus came and went even more than the character’s did as written (when he was around family or particularly emphatic). The same voice actor has been used throughout this series, and although I like everything else about him, distinguishing characters through voice is not one of them. It’s odd to me that these dual-POV books don’t use two narrators, but that brings its own weirdness when each narrator’s voice for his character’s partner sounds completely different — like, don’t they work together to try to make their voices for each other’s counterparts more in sync? Anyway, I’ve really enjoyed this series, had previously I enjoyed the Browerton University series, and was happy to see the lovers from one of those books in this book. Overall I enjoyed this story and audiobook and would recommend it.

Great continuation of two series

This story. It’s such a sweet tale of two friends turned lovers and the journey of the characters along the way is so beautifully relatable. I couldn’t put it down and found myself rooting for the special moments and sharing in the heartache. I’m so glad to see representation of the bigger fellas in male-male romances, this book captured it beautifully and I hope the author continues to write more inclusive pieces like this one.

Sweet and Sultry
