I love Murderbot!

Once again, Murderbot is trying to find answers this time to help Dr. Mensah, if he can. But, his plans to lay low and escape notice while doing so, ends the moment that human lives are endangered...
As the title indicates this is part 3 and it's part of an overall story ARC which will culminate in a final book... and I for one can hardly wait! In this and the last story Artificial Condition, our SecUnit (Murderbot) met a very special bot each different, and each having a very profound impact on Murderbot as he ponders "the sentient condition". Turning this kinda into coming of age story...
Kevin R Free gives a great performance as my favorite A.I.
So go ahead and add these 3 novellas to your library before the 4th book, Exit Strategy comes out!

PS. Good news. Book4 is scheduled for released in October, 2018!

Good story but feels unfinished

Ending seemed a little abrupt - crashed into a deadline perhaps? I love the stories, but there was better character development in the first two novellas.

this is an awesome series

it's very short but the story is well written and very relatable. while it is short, I still feel like it is well developed and worth it.

Murderbots Rule!

Story amazing, writing fantastic, narration flawless. If you’re looking for War & Peace, keep on walking. If you want fun, imaginative and thoroughly enjoyable, this is it.
The narrator, Kevin R. Free was on point right out of the gate. His comfort level with the character is wonderful, pulls you right in from the beginning.
My only complaint, too short… longer books Ms. Wells!

Not the best Murderbot story

While still an enjoyable story this is so far my least favorite of the Murderbot stories. Not because it’s a bad one, but mainly because if feels short. While the rest of the novella’s feel like small novels this one certainly feels like a short side story.

Best one yet!

Ahhh! Now I know why this series is so popular! The author really hits her stride with this third installment. Murderbot becomes more of a “person” you care about, the action is pretty much nonstop, and yet another plot point of the overall story arc is resolved. I enjoyed this book thoroughly! I have #4 all queued up and ready to go!

The best so far!

I love the Murderbot series. Each entry in the series has replaced the other as my favorite book/audio of the year in all genres. The length is perfect to tell the story, develop the character and NOT pack in a lot of backstory filler that kills my interest in most series books. Kevin R. Free's interpretation as narrator is masterful. I can't get over how much I like his delivery of Murderbot' ironic self commentary, humor and insecurities and CARING. I've listened to the audio of the entire series back to back about 5 times and with each listening I get more from the story and the narration. Five stars for Martha Wells and five stars for Kevin R. Free.

this is one of my favorite installments in the Murderbot series, but the last few minutes punch you right in the feels. make sure you have tissues and the next installment.
