Great narration, poor pacing of story

Story starts out very strong, I found it interesting to hear a story of Anakin/Obiwan long before the clone wars begin. Also interesting to hear more about Tarkin’s roots. The middle of the book was pretty dry for my taste, I barely paid much attention to it. Beginning and end were pretty good.

A potential vision of things to come.

A fun early adventure of Obi-wan and Anakin that lays the groundwork for the ELC potentially doing the New Jedi Order series hopefully!

Jonathan Davis provides a top notch prequel performance as usual.

Legacy Star Wars is so much better than this new stuff written under Disney

Legacy books should have been the source material for the new films. Would have been amazing.

Voice acting

I liked obi wan and Anakins bonding and Tarkins side story and how this story is a prelude to set up the new Jedi order series

Weird, and not in a good way

Yeah, this was not good Star Wars. To be fair, I’m not a big Greg Bear fan, so I went into this with a feeling that I might not like it. There’s just really nothing else to say….this book is weird. As for the narrator, I’ve said many, many times that there are only two narrators that should ever be reading Star Wars novels, Marc Thompson, and Jonathan Davis. 5 stars reading here as usual by Mr. Davis.
