“Brown is excellent.”
—San Francisco Chronicle
Dale Brown, whose books live on the New York Times bestseller list—alongside the novels of Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, and other superstars of the military adventure genre—triumphs again with Rogue Forces. A riveting and relentlessly exciting thriller, Rogue Forces explores a timely and important question in this age of Blackwell and Halliburton: What would happen if the Army’s private security contractors became uncontrollably powerful? Brown’s popular character, Patrick McLanahan, is going Rogue in this chillingly plausible adventure that further solidifies Dale Brown’s reputation as “the best military writer in the country” (Clive Cussler).

Would you listen to Rogue Forces again? Why?
Worthy of a re-listen! I typically don't as too much new material exists, but on a long road trip it would be good. Reasonable narration, good story line and writing that is easy to follow.Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Most of the time it did. After reading and listening to so many books by Dale Brown there are a few predictable places but intrigue level remained highWhat does William Dufris bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
His narrations are more story telling than a stage play which is far more enjoyable as tone, language and impressions do not fluctuate volume or make listening difficult in a car.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The scenario of conflict in the middle east as US withdraws in current events is a main theme that reverberates through out the book illustrating a the repercussions of bad foreign policy or no policy at all.Foreign Policy and lack there of

I like them since I can generally get them finished in book form on one roundtrip flight of six to eight hours with very little time reading while there.
They follow a formula with only a little deviation from that factor. McClanahan starts off the book still in trouble from the command structure from the last book. Manages to find a way to get into deeper trouble. Finds a way to save the day and stay out of jail and the book is over. Lots of battle and small intrigue in the middle. It really doesn't matter if McClanahan is a Colonel or General in the Air Force or an outside defense contractor, the story is basically the same with the same type of protagonists from without and within battling with him.
It Is What It Is

The story was well laid out and did it’s best to back fill the story for those who, like myself have started here have a better understanding of the story world.
I enjoyed the ups and downs, and you can tell a lot about an authors life experience from his writing which tells me I want to continue to follow this story line.
First book in the series for me
