Publisher's summary

Three spine chilling true crime stories in one collection from the best-selling author Robert Brown. This collection contains the first three of Robert Browns best-selling true crime novels.

With this collection, you'll receive the following three books:

Bonfire Bodies: The Shocking Story of Serial Killer Dennis Nilsen

Between 1978 and 1983, Dennis Nilsen murdered and mutilated at least 12 young men in London.

Many of these young men went under the radar socially, which enabled Nilsen's shocking killing spree to go undetected for years.

This true crime book lifts the lid on his sinister story.

The Candy Cards: The Shocking Story of Dean Corll

During the early 1970s, more than three dozen teenage boys went missing from the working-class neighborhood of Houston Heights, in the south of Texas.

The parents of a number of these boys received strange postcards from their sons, telling them that they were fine and that they had found jobs elsewhere.

The Candy Cards is the shocking true story of Dean Corll a.k.a. The Candy Man, one of the deadliest serial killers in American history.

The Acid Alchemist: A True Story of Murder, Deceit, and Unspeakable Horror

In July 1909, John George Haigh was born into a strictly religious household. As a young child, his life was shaped by his parent’s extreme beliefs. Little did he know that the recurring nightmares of his early life would lead to one of the most horrific cases in British criminal history.

This is the true story of the notorious Acid Bath Murderer, a cold-blooded murderer who imagined he was above the law. A man who believed he could literally get away with murder.

Caution: The audiobook has a strong adult theme and is intended for an adult audience. Listener discretion is advised.

Not for the faint of heart!

The descriptions of the murders & rapes of young boys, especially in the second story was a tad overwhelming! For those people that comment about how gruesome & descriptive the details are in some other books that are actually quite mild, this book is going to scar your delicate sensibilities! Having said that, these stories are damn near unbelievable in regards to the perpetrators brutality and the way they manage to avoid capture for so long!
The narrator was decent, although he made silly mistakes. Mistakes like the one made just 44 seconds into the last story where he uses the word "epiphany" when the word was actually "epitome".
All in all, this was worth the time it took to listen.

All 3 in one!

I love that Robert Brown released these as a set. I also love that he kept the same narrator, it helps them flow together. I love his writing style and I'll keep coming back!

Great, unique, writing style!

I love Robert's writing style. It's an interesting cross between fact and fiction, a way to get into these killer's heads.

Love this narrator too, I've listened to a few things of his!

Poor narration

Wow. I've never given feedback on a audiobook... But after hearing the horrible narration of this book... There is no way to fully describe how ridiculously weird the narrator was.
