Has such potential to be a great story

This story really has potential. I just don't get all the swearing, now done by the smaller kids as well. In my opinion,It isn't done to enhance the story. Maybe it is for shock value? Or word count? Also, one of the match ups is a bit awkward/creepy. Without giving too much away, lets just say this May-November romance is a bit of a stretch., even if it is the end of the world as we know it. The basic story line however, is really good. I'd like to think that there really are 13 year olds with this much brain power to tackle everything they must do to survive. The parents determination to get back to their children is powerful. I've read other series by this author (Blur Plague), and really enjoyed them.

Decent story

Fairly well written and I thought the narrator did a good job. Not entirely certain about some of the teen conversations lol but humorous nonetheless. If a forth book comes out I’ll buy it.

Love story line ... waiting on #4!!!

Loved the series so far & Eric Shelman is becoming one of my favorite narrators. My only complaint is ending on tear jerker is just cruel & unusual punishment. LOL Can't wait for next one & story to continue.

Excellent book

I spend a lot of time in the truck traveling for work so I am always looking for a new book to listen to. After listing to the first book I was hooked. The story line is great and i swear that the author knows my nephews as they act the same way as the two boys in the book. I am looking forward to the next book.

Very good story line,but...

I am not a prude but 7 to 14 years of age constantly outlandish cursing is the only thing I did not care about this book.I would like to have seen at least late teens being the responsible ones

Another great book by Thomas Watson!

Rite of Passage a great addition to the Forsaken World Series. I like this series a lot. It’s a bit over the top but that’s what makes it a really good read and plot line. The story jumping back and forth between the parents and Lance and Ian was fun to read.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
I drive a truck and love audiobooks. My favorite genre is Zombie Apocalypse books and Rite of Passage was a definite keeper.
