Publisher's summary

Masterfully crafted by Paul Alan, the ‘Rings of Polaris’ fuses science fiction romance, dystopian, and action – in an adventure giving Arthur C. Clarke a run for his money.

Listeners are invited to strap in with Jason and Rebel Lexis on a mission across the vast wasteland that was once Earth to the surface of Mars. While nobody will deny science fiction’s timeless popularity, both readers and critics are currently crying out for wholly-unique new narratives that don’t succumb to recycling of the “same old” concepts. Thankfully, Paul Alan has stepped up to the plate with gusto, serving up a compelling new series.

Fun to read Sci-Fi

I had a great time listening to this book and am very excited for the next in the series. I love Sci-Fi anyway and this had a good story line that kept me wanting more. I had become so engrossed that I finished it in 2 days and was sad when it ended. The narrator was an excellent choice. I would recommend this book as a fun read and I was given this book for free in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Paul Alan

A great sci-fi collection!

“Rings of Polaris” is a fascinating sci-fi set in the distant future, which has a quality of "Star Wars" to it. Jason is a great choice for a protagonist and I couldn’t get enough of his smart mouth and personality. Sofia/Lexis and her eventual development out of an artificial intelligence organism into an almost human being with her own free will, feelings, and motives, was another character who won my affection right away. The world-building was great and I could easily imagine myself roaming the overheated and almost desolate Earth along with Jason and traveling through space to Mars and coming face to face with its humanoid inhabitants. The setting was vivid and imaginative and the plot, with its intrigues and betrayals and sub-stories (Jason’s family’s story will definitely make for an emotional read!), moved at a perfect pace. The narrator, Stephanie Bentley, did a great job in placing me right in the middle of the action and made my “reading” experience even better. Definitely a five-star book! Recommended to all fans of the genre.
