Publisher's summary

Billionaire investors. If we think of them, it's with a mixture of awe and suspicion. Clearly, they possess a kind of genius - the proverbial Midas Touch. But are the skills they possess transferable? And would we really want to be them? Do they have anything to teach us besides making money?

In Richer, Wiser, Happier, award-winning journalist William Green has spent nearly 25 years interviewing these investing wizards and discovered that their talents expand well beyond the financial realm and into practical philosophy.

Green ushers us into the lives of more than 40 of the world's super-investors, visiting them in their offices, vacation homes and even their places of worship - all to share what they have to teach us. Green brings together the thinking of some of the best investors, from Warren Buffet to Howard Marks to John Templeton, and provides gems of insight that will enrich you not only financially but also professionally and personally.

Well narrated book. Covers the topics of both life and investing in a structured way.

Great learnings and good narration

Enjoyable learnings from many types of investors albeit they're mostly long only and value approach. I think the additional angles of how they approach life outside of investing gave readers a more complete picture of each individuals interviewed. Narration was well executed and fitting to the topic.

I'll be reading this again, and again...

Insightful lessons about investing and life. I'll be studying this book and many of the people in it for some time.

Great and fresh collection of interviews

Quite interesting collection of profiles of different star investors. It helps to have some knowledge about the topic beforehand and also the advice by the different investors should probably not be taken as a gospel. It would actually be quite hard as some of them believe that something is absolutely vital, while others do not do it at all :-) All have value investing and inspiration from Benjamin Graham in common, which might be a bit missleading since there are others using different strategies... So overall I liked it because of the possibility to peak into minds of many investor gurus and I really liked what I saw.
