Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author Meghan March comes a brand new saga of forbidden love and second chances.

A Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after. Our family feud is the stuff of legends.

Ten years ago, Whitney Gable caught me off guard with her long legs and grab-you-by-the-balls blue eyes. I didn't know or care what her name was. Like any Riscoff worth the family name, I went after what I wanted. We burned like a flash fire until she married another man. She hates me, and she should. I objected on her wedding day.

Now she's home, with those same long legs and man-eater stare, but there's no ring on her finger. They say a Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after...but I'm not done with Whitney Gable.

I'll never be done with her.

Excellent start!!!

I hate cliffhangers!!! But an excellent start to a new meghan march trilogy. I love true love and Lincoln and Whitney have it in spades. this book is great and well worth the credit. great storyline not too repetitive and you really feel the love. very dreamy and everything you want in a romance novel. i cannot wait a month for the next one 😭

Good book - I hate cliffhangers!

I think this book is great and then it just ends! Cliffhanger! Next book not out until mid September. That is so annoying. It should have been noted on the information about the book. I don't like to listen to books that do this.

OMG! I NEED BOOK 2 & 3 RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't get enough of Meghan March. It seems that I keep writing the same review with each book, but the woman just gets it and gets better and better! I mean HELLO if you read her last trilogy yoiu would have thought it can't get any better than this. ummm yea wrong DEAD WRONG! Whitney and Lincoln are going down as an EPIC story! Like THIS BOOK of all of Meghan's books is BIG SCREEN WORTHY! I mean BIG TIME! I read an ARC and was dying! On Release day I got my audio and it was legit like a film playing in my head! The story, the characters, the scene, the attention to detail is hands down PHENOMENAL! It's been 2 weeks since I read the book and 1 full day since I heard the audio. Now is when I finally could put my thoughts down. Meghan March you are a flipping ROCKSTAR AUTHOR! And DO NOT GET ME STARTED ON THE AUDIO! OMFG! Erin Mallon and Joe Arden KILL IT! The Narration is PERFECTION! Seriously I FLOVE every single one of Meghan's books but THIS ONE yes THIS ONE is taking top billing for me! This is hands down my favorite! Do not hesitate! You NEED this book and the audio TOGETHER in your life! Like you NEED IT HANDS DOWN! WOW WOW WOW! And so it begins my wait for books 2 & 3 ... pray for me!

Fantastic story, female Narrator not the best

I loved the beginning to this trilogy but the female narrator's voice was more villainous than I portrayed the character.

Expecting more

This book is book 1 of 3 in the series, the story ends in a cliff hanger that was unexpected. I am always annoyed by the books that require more purchases to complete the story. The main character is lovable at the beginning; by the end of the first book she was annoying. Lincoln is a typical dominating, rich and controlling man. Overall meh. I did waste a credit on this book, I doubt I will listen to the other books in the series. I have read other Megan March books, if you enjoy her books overall you might enjoy this book more than I did.

A Blushing Book Review

The story is told from both Whitney and Lincolns point of view and frequently jumps back and forth from past to present throughout the story. I know that puts off a lot of readers when authors do this but It flowed extremely well and worked perfectly for this storyline.

There is not a big wait to get to the first steamy sex scene and in Meghan March usual style it is HOT! There is no slow burn which one would normally expect from Meghan, but it was a refreshing change and worked well within the storyline, creating the push and pull as an after effect.

Lincoln and Whitney were both likeable characters, Lincoln is very different to the customary spoilt rich kid turned playboy billionaire heir, he did not have the air of arrogance we would usually see in this type of character. Yes, he was still cocky but it was not overbearing or ignorant. He knew what he wanted and was prepared to take it but not without permission or purpose first.

Poor Whitney, she really bombed out in the luck department not only in life but in love. She was quietly strong in her struggles though and didn’t want nor expect anyone’s sympathy and I think that is why I loved her so much.

Lincoln and Whitney share a passionate connection with one another which is really well portrayed in the writing and it’s why I become so drawn in to their story, waiting in anticipation for them to find a way to be with one another despite their differences, but the book ends on a killer cliff-hanger, damn you Meghan!! Book #2 thankfully is due out in September so I won’t have to wait too long.

AMAZING

Meghan March is the most amazing author. The way she tells a story, grabbing you from the first word, to the last. This is an amazing second chance love story, but you know it can't be that simple. She puts twists and turns leaving you wanting more. This lady can't write fast enough for me. You will lose out if you don't jump into this story with both feet. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Hotter than Sin!

I can’t say enough about this new book! The story line is so twisted . The main characters Whitney and Lincoln are so lovable. The narrators are so amazing! It’s just sinfully GOOD! Can’t wait for next installment!

PLEASE STOP USING ERIN MALLON!!! Guh

As far as narration goes, Erin Mallon is like nails on a chalkboard for me. Somewhere between the proverbial valley girl and arche-typical millennial sound, every sentence ends with the word being over emphasized. As a result, the effect (and affect for that matter) is that she is the walking, talking definition of condescension. If this is her attempt at sexy, she needs to tone it down. Way Down. She sounds more like the overly defensive goth girl from the 90s. PLEASE STOP.

A Riscoff and A Gable.

WHEW!

When Lincoln met Whitney Gable he fell hard, too bad for the young lovers... their family feud makes the Capulet's and Montague's look like a Hallmark family Christmas special. They may live in a town called Gable but the Riscoff family own it. The forbidden romance hits many obstacles but Whitney finally called it quits when she walked down the aisle with another man and Lincoln begged her not to... she doesn't listen, because as her aunt Jackie counsels.. nothing good can ever come from a Riscoff and a Gable being together.

Now, 10 years later she's the widow of a rockstar and in hiding from his furious fans.

Still as addicted to the beautiful dark haired temptress Lincoln can't keep himself away, he wants her heart, he wants her period.

This book was fantastic. The narration was perfect.

“They say a Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after . . . but I’m not done with Whitney Gable.”

A true, true love story

Oh my word. A modern day Romeo and Juliette. Two families. So much hatred. The story spans over ten years, a before and after if you will.
Lincoln Riscoff and Whitney Gable were instantly attracted to each other, of course once Witney realised who Gable was she tried her best to stop whatever it was between then. Gable on the other hand only seemed to fall harder for Whitney. I’m yet to find out what happened ten years earlier to tear them apart (thanks for the cliffie by the way). We do get to see them meet up ten years later, with exactly the same baggage. I do have a couple of theories (I’m keeping them to myself, I’ll see if they pan out shortly). The love they share is literally the stuff of legends. Lincoln particularly has had no greater love. I loved his passion and his honesty. As always with Meghan March, great characters, story and narration. I have no clue how she always snags the best narrators (I’m guessing it’s her great stories), but I’m not complaining. I could listen to her stories forever..

Rather good💕

This was a new author for me and the story was really good.
The audio was good but would have been better with just one person reading it. I loved the reading parts that Joe Arden read very good with the womans reading parts.
Erin mallon was an ok reading her parts.... She did a rather good male voice, but the way she spoke the female leads parts were for me annoyingly arrogant sounding.
But on the whole was a good listen💕

Richer Than Sin

This story has brilliant tension with great ups and down and a clips from the past. It also leaves you a big cliff hanger. Apparently great

Couldn’t get into it

Had to return this book. First time for me with a Meghan March story. It kept chopping and changing between the present and the past which stopped me from being able to get into the story and so I kept getting distracted. There was very little connection between the hero and heroine and that could have been developed more. Also, the plot seemed too much like a cheesy soap opera with all the drama and relationships (and looking at spoiler reviews it is only going to get worse). What’s happened to Meghan March? I’ll try again with her next series/book and hopefully she’ll be back on track.

DifficultTo get into

I couldn’t get past the first 15 minutes the story just didn’t grab me at all. The male narrator was also difficult to take seriously.

The Worst Female Narrator

I may have bought this before and returned it and I’ll make sure to note it down this time. I tried so hard to listen to the story but the female narrator is the worst I’ve ever heard! I managed to get through 4 chapters but just couldn’t do anymore.

Wow

Really enjoyed this book. Recapping the past to the present day. His strong love for her. The old Hatfield and McCoy scenario that keeps her from him. So many people against them, even her brain, but her heart rules most times.
I don’t usually buy books that are in parts.
But this author I find always produces the good read.
Looking forward to the next.
Narration was awesome too.
