Publisher's summary

Use your mind's natural rhythm to learn a language with Rhythms Easy Esperanto from EuroTalk.

It's naturally easier to learn something when it's set to rhythmic music, so that is exactly what we've done. Rhythms put your mind painlessly to work: you don't even need to focus! Simple words and phrases are set to a varied pattern of rhythms and music designed to help you learn and to keep you engaged so that you won't just switch off after five minutes. It won't get you fluent, but it will give you an easy road into starting to learn a completely new language.

If you just want a few simple words and phrases before going abroad, Rhythms is all you need. It covers absolute essentials such as how to greet people, basic directions, getting around, food and drink. You'll hear Esperanto spoken by both a male and a female native speaker and there will be plenty of opportunity for you to test how well you're doing with the review stages built in at key points in each track.

Rhythms can be used anytime, anywhere; listen in the car or on the train, walking the dog, doing housework or exercising at the gym. Absorbing a language couldn't be easier and EuroTalk Rhythms has over 120 different languages to choose from.

Good but the title & description are misleading.

Would you try another book from EuroTalk Ltd and/or Jamie Stuart?

Yes I would try another audio book from the authors.

Was Rhythms Easy Esperanto worth the listening time?

This is good for a beginner who wants to learn some basic phrases to begin communicating.

Any additional comments?

The title and description is misleading. After reading both, one would believe that the words are said or even sung in RHYTHM, so that they become "catchy" in one's mind like a song or a jingle. Although there is a looping jazz track playing in the background, the words are spoken as if one is in normal conversation and never said or sung to the beat.

There is only one other audio book available in Esperanto. So if your a beginner, this is not bad and certainly better than nothing.

this is not the way

This is really not the way to learn Esperanto. Practicing individual words and short phrases may be a great way to learn other languages, but doesn't leverage the strengths of a constructed language like Esperanto.

THE LANGUAGE OF THE FUTURE

This is an innovative and entertaining way to effortlessly acquaint yourself with Esperanto. I simply played the audio in the background while occupied with other matters and even when I was sleeping. In a couple of weeks I had a basic speaking vocabulary and good listening comprehension.
Esperanto, by the way, was invented by a Polish doctor and linguist more than 130 years ago as an easy international language that could be learned many times faster than any other language. Today, it is spoken by millions around the world.
Just try it! You'll be hooked like I was.
