A Rockin' Good Start

Olivia Dane is well on her way to being drunk after a horrible day; no, a horrible week! Her fiance, Patrick, the man she thought she was going to marry, broke up with her via text. Even though she just won a big court case, she's devastated, when she hears a warm Scottish brogue in her ear. Logan Graham, front man for Revival, one of the biggest rock bands in the world, notices she's troubled and offers to comfort her. Comfort turns to desire and, in a short time, he takes her to his suite. She's entranced by his kindness, empathy and it doesn't hurt that he's sexy, with a voice that feels like a caress. Emboldened, Olivia lets herself go and she and Logan share a night of passion. Ryan Marshall, her boss, is a sleazy man, first acting like a friend and then, acting like someone who is watching over her way too closely. Ever since she broke up with Patrick, Ryan thinks she's his and easily maneuvers her into an uncomfortable position in his office. He assigns her a new high profile case and who should it be, but Logan! He's filing a lawsuit against his corrupt manager for driving a wedge among the band members and he's sure that Ashton has been embezzling money. Ryan isn't done with Olivia. Behind closed and locked doors, he gets her into just the right spot to become a victim, if she allows it. Logan stands by her and now they have the future in front of them. It's not smooth sailing since Ashton filed a countersuit. Ryan won't stand for being called out as a  predator and Revival has gone its separate ways. Whatever happens, they're in this together. The narration is impeccably done by Aubrey Parsons. His dynamic voice is infused with just the right amount of emotion, his Scottish Brogue is spot on and the personalities of the characters shine through. 

Good story telling, amazing narration!

fabulous Gaelic accent added authenticity to the storytelling. Good story... easy to get into, believable characters... entertaining!

Olivia is a lawyer and recently been dumped by her fiancé. Logan is a Rockstar. They meet in a bar one night and have one hot night never to see each again or so they thought. They meet again when Logan needs a lawyer. Will these two have more than one night? Will there be a HEA?

Unexpected Strength

I struggled with the female lead, Olivia, for over half the story. I was put off by how weak and contrite she came off, internalizing guilt that belonged with her ex and her boss. However, Olivia found her strength, right about the same time she nearly lost everything, and proved to be a strong heroine. While I didn’t think I’d want to continue reading this series, by its conclusion I was enthralled and very much looking forward to the continuation, eager to watch Olivia continue to come into her own, with Logan at her side.

This was a good start to the Hard Rocked series. The rockstar becomes the client. I thought this was an interesting storyline. Aubrey Parsons did an OK job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
