Publisher's summary

Rhett Madison and Clementine O’Hara were best friends for years before they decided to give dating a shot. Everyone around them thought they were perfect for each other, but neither one of them realized just how much their relationship would change once they got together.

They’d only been dating for a couple of months when they decided to move across the country and live together. Neither one of them were prepared for all the trials and tribulations they would face as a new couple living in sin, as Clementine’s Nanna called it.

Rhett’s still acting like he’s a bachelor and Clementine’s not sure if going from friends to lovers was the best decision they ever made. So they decide to enroll in a relationship course to see if they are meant to be together. Only it seems like Rhett’s more interested in the passionate side of their relationship, as opposed to the deeper more emotional side.

Hilarity and chaos ensues when Tomas comes to visit and Rhett and Clementine are both faced with questions that could change their relationship status once again. Neither one knows what’s going to happen, but no-one ever said that the pathway from friends to lovers was going to be an easy one.

The story delves deep as Rhett faces his demons.

This book can be read as a stand-alone, but it follows the title Rhett, which is the story of how he fell in love with Clementine.

In Rhett in Love, Rhett moves to Boston to be with Clementine, who has transferred to Harvard for her senior year. He has opted to finish his degree by taking online courses through SC State, so his schedule is more flexible than hers and he often finds himself alone. After a few months of living together in their new surroundings, the novelty is wearing off and the reality of daily life together is settling in. Despite their love for one another, insecurities tarnish the couple's new relationship status. He fears she will leave him as his mother did, and she fears he will return to his playboy ways which had become a well-established habit many years in the making.

While Rhett and Clementine's romance is sweet and light-hearted in the title Rhett, Rhett in Love takes a more serious turn. They learn that sometimes love isn't enough. The story delves deep as Rhett faces his demons and Clementine comes to terms with her role in his life. This is a love story not only for the couple, but for Rhett as a person. Rhett earns his short but sweet HEA

I love this book!

Rhett in Love can be read as a standalone novel, but it is a continuation of Rhett and Clementine story.

Rhett has always been a player, never in a relationship until he realized he was in love with his best friend Clementine. Rhett and Clementine moved to Boston so Clementine could go to college. They decided to move in together and jumped right into the relationship. They were not prepared for all that living together entailed. As Clementine became busy at school and in study groups with a guy who showed interest in her, Rhett wasn't prepared for the feelings of jealousy he had.

After receiving news of his mother's failing health, Rhett had to go home to take care of her. Your heart will break for Rhett as he struggles with his feelings of not being good enough from his mothers abandonment choosing alcohol over him.

Will all this be too much for Rhett to deal with? Will it push him back to his old ways and push Clementine away? You don't want to miss what happens in Rhett and Clementine's story.

I loved this book when I read it and I enjoyed it even more listening to it!
