Publisher's summary

Hell hath no fury...

For 5000 years, Revenant believed he was alone in the world, a fallen angel beyond any redemption. Now he finds he has a twin brother who had all the light and love Revenant was denied. Caught in a tug of war between Heaven and Hell, he must weigh his thirst for revenge against his desire for a mysterious female named Blaspheme - a female whose very origins could deliver him into salvation... or destruction.

Like an angel scorned

Blaspheme has a deadly secret: she's the forbidden offspring of an angel and a fallen angel. Hunted by both heavenly and satanic forces, she has survived only by laying low and trusting no one. When Revenant claims he can save them both, how can she possibly believe him? But the powerful angel is persistence incarnate and for Blaspheme, there's no place she can hide in Heaven or Hell where he won't find her.

FILLED WITH "WOWS, WHOAS, WHAT THE... & WICKED"

Back in 2011, when I purchased the first book in the Demonica series called Pleasure Unbound little did I know that, for nearly four years, that's exactly what I got...... pleasure unbound. It finally ended with this imaginative and masterfully crafted book which thankfully tied up loose ends, answered questions and skilfully told one of the most awesome and powerful stories in an intricately woven, bloody and beautiful world - a world filled with Angels and Archangels, Devils and Demons..... and then there was Revenant.

I have craved and devoured each and every one of them greedily, lustfully and joyfully but this one, yes this one, hands down, was the best..... it had it all..... a drool-worthy damaged bad-ass, bad-boy Hero who was so loveable and redeemed himself in a plot that was action-packed from start to finish with exciting, sexy, shocking, beautiful, happy, sad, terrible, tortuous and epic events. It had a Heroine who hid secrets and her true self and whose compassion and love tamed and saved the beast. With it's often snappy and quick witted dialogue to top off a bitter-sweet doomed romance and, of course, the Apocalypse.... it's got the full package to mystify and mesmerise a paranormal fan such as me as it plunged and kept me immersed in it's alternate realm.

Larissa Ione, I'm standing, clapping and shouting "Encore, encore!!" for a job well done and for this gift to your fans.... thank you. And thank you too Hillary Huber you made all the magic come to life.

Worth a credit? On the Bible and the Demonica YES.... and I've been to her website and can confirm that a whole new era in about to start.

Angel in Disguise.

If you are a fan of this series, you won't be disappointed. With romance, action, demon/angel lore, friendship, humor, and even some emotional drama this book is great. Man the cover is sexy, makes me drool. Both the hero and heroine are tarnished and that's part of what I love about them. There are lots of appearances from past characters and it made me want to read the whole series over again.

It has been over a year since I read Reaver, I had a bit of a time remembering all the little details of this series and I wish that I had taken the time to reread the other books again. I do recommend reading Larissa Ione's other books starting with the Demonica, then the Horseman series before reading this because there is a lot of references to the previous books in this series.
Will this be the final book for the Demonica/Horseman series? Probably, but my hopes are for more. According to the beginning of this book Larissa Ione doesn't know for sure yet either. At the end of the book there is an epilogue put on the authors website "larissaione.com/blog/not-the-end." I haven't had the chance to read it yet but hopefully it is not the end of the series. Narrator does a pretty good job.

If you are looking for a new series after this one, I recommend reading Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter Series. This book reminded me of the Dark Hunter series a bit.

Perfect Conclusion to the Demonica Series

I just finished Revenant, the eleventh and final full-length novel in Larissa Ione's very creative Demonica series and the only word that can sum it up is wow. Just wow. Her imagination seems to know no bounds and this book was everything I needed and wanted it to be. Perfect closure to this arc. Perfect.

I have mad love for the Demonica/Lords of Deliverance world but was on the fence about Rev before this book. After all, he was snarky and somewhat funny, but he was also a great big bag of dicks. On top of that, he was Satan's right hand man once Lucifer was out of the picture. That's really hard to look past but I love redemption stories and Revenant was epic. Not only that, I fell for that smart ass angel. Hard. From the gothic biker attire, the tall, dark, and handsome thing he had going on, the snarky attitude, his dark, twisted sense of humor, and incredible sex appeal, he won me over. Mmmm. Revenant is one bad ass angel and Blaspheme was perfect for him.

I don't want to spoil anything for anyone since this is the final full-length novel in the Demonica series so I won't go into details about Revenant. Just know that Ms. Ione gave everyone their just deserts and I was beyond thrilled with the ending. Revenant was dark, gritty, super smexy, and had plot twists I didn't see coming. Not. At. All. Also know that the epilogue that you'll have access to once your finished with Revenant gives you insight to her future plans which excited me to no end. Again, I don't wanna spoil anything so I'll let you get to those important details once your finished with the book.

Larissa Ione is my rock star author of 2014 and delivered three five-star books. That's very rare and honestly the only other author I've ever read that delivered that in a single year was Kresley Cole. Between Azagoth, Chained by Night, and Revenant, Ms. Ione gave me many fangtabulous stories to escape with this year and I am very thankful for her and her dark, pervy mind.

I can't wait to read Hades as well as the other stuff that Ms. Ione has planned for the future. As long as she keeps writing them, I'll keep reading them. I truly believe the lady can do no wrong. Thank you, Larissa, for giving the Demonica/Lords of Deliverance series the epic conclusion it deserved!

Ione Delivers!

What did you love best about Revenant?

Loved the way Revenant came across as laid back and bad-ass at the same time, but then Ione goes in and tempers all that with the vulnerability and regret instilled by his past- A sensational hero!

What other book might you compare Revenant to and why?

I suppose it would be Reaver which featured Revenant's twin brother. Although Reaver was thought to be the more angelic of the two, the twins showed remarkable similarities in the way they approached all the challenges their stories dished out.

What about Hillary Huber’s performance did you like?

The emotion she brings to the dialogue.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The final chapters really moved me. I enjoyed the way Ione weaved in the biblical text to back up what takes place in the last explosive scenes as well as to explain the prophesy pertaining to Revenant and Reaver.

Any additional comments?

The book ended so spectacularly, it'd be interesting to see what sort of havoc Ione could conjure next!

Amazing

It was really an amazing story, had me on the edge at parts, crying, cursing, cheering. And laughing. Just a great addition to the series.

Wow!

This story cannot be the end of this series. The story line is too good. I am devastated.

Awesome

This is a wonderful end to the Demonica series. It’s also not really the end! I loved how they finished up some huge plot lines and left the world open for more books. This is one of my favorite series.

E-P-I-C EVERYTHING!!!

Revenant reminded me so much of Limos. He was raised in hell, never truly knowing who and what he was. When the truth finally came out, he contacted his twin brother Reaver and it went from bad to worse in a second. Now he has to come to terms with all that he has learned on his own, or does he?

From the moment Rev saw Blaspheme he was drawn to her. Now he is in a position to help her and he falls all over himself to do so. Trying to make himself believe that he wants nothing more than to get her in his bed he begins to dream of having a life with her but her past may keep her from him forever.

Blaspheme has secrets and Rev says over and over again that he will never forgive lies. As she realizes that she is falling for the Shade she fears she will lose everything because she can never tell the truth to anyone!

What an epic ending to the series! I fell in to this story and did not claw my way out of it until the last page! E-P-I-C!
