Publisher's summary

In Revealing Heaven, Reverend John W. Price makes the case for how near-death experiences can be gifts from God and are fully compatible with Christian spirituality and the Bible. As a pastor open to near-death experiences, he has heard more than 200 personal accounts of this phenomena.

Todd Burpo's best-selling book Heaven Is for Real, the story of a young child's near-death experience, has validated the existence of heaven and of God for many. Yet there are Christians who remain uncomfortable with the idea of near-death experiences; they wonder if these events are in line with the Bible and Christian teaching.

In Revealing Heaven: The Eyewitness Accounts That Changed How a Pastor Thinks About the Afterlife, Reverend Price shares compelling testimonies that prove that Christians can not only trust near-death experiences as valid and consistent with Biblical teaching, but he demonstrates how they can help us understand death, grief, and what happens after this life is over, and provides ample reasons for us to be open to these amazing stories and to hope for what we've always dreamed about.

NDE’s consistent with biblical scripture.

Finally, a Christian theologian taking on the the very convincing Near Death Experiences and discussing how they are consistent with biblical writing! Easy to listen to. Very interesting!!!
I’m SO THANKFUL we have a pastor brave enough to pull his head out of the sand, and acknowledge these reassuring gifts from our loving God—glimpses into the life that awaits us after our journey on earth is completed. Thanks to John Price!

Wonderful

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I am a Christian but not a fundamentalist. I can understand why some people dislike it because of their strict religious beliefs. If you are open minded, I believe you can get a lot of insight into Heaven. Highly recommend.

Why Did Jesus Die?

This work by, Reverend John W. Price, has many good stories of ordinary people visiting heaven. Some who return from heaven seem to have friendly relationships with Angels. However, this work “throws Jesus under the bus”. This work nullifies the message of salvation through Christ. Jesus promised eternal life to all who live in Him.

This work echos an old tune; All You Need Is Love.
Anyone who “studies” the life of Jesus will realize this work rejects God’s plan for the salvation of mankind.
Example: John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
17 “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 “For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
21 “But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

This work nullifies the message of Jesus, the life of Jesus, the death of Jesus, and the resurrection of Jesus. This work makes a mockery of the message of the cross. If one believes this work of the Reverend John W. Price, rather than the message of repentance as preached by John the Baptist, and Jesus Christ, the question begs to be answered, “Why did Jesus die?” In fact, this work cherry picks the kindly message of love that Jesus preached, but buries the rest of Jesus message, the part about repentance.

Here is Peter, shortly after the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
Acts 3:19 “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
20 “and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,
21 “whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.

Yet, according to this work, love, love, love, is all you need.

Here is the apostle Paul telling the Corinthian church may must repent their sinful deeds….
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,
10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

According to this work by Reverend John W. Price, the Bible is a pack of lies; except for the parts that were cherry picks to make this work look good to the spirituality unlearned.

Without repentance no one can inherit any part of the kingdom of God. Yet according to this work by, Reverend John W. Price, repentance is irrelevant, all that matters is love. this work has spit into the face of God, the same God who gave His only Son for the remission of sins. This work is deceitful.
I cannot recommend this work….
