Publisher's summary

You can think you’ve had everything stolen from you. That there’s nothing left to lose. You would be wrong.

My best friend’s been kidnapped. I was just captured. What I thought was a massive drug operation run by a man who killed my father turns out to be 10 times more horrific.

I’m trapped. My best friend may be dead. And Mark has no idea where to find me.

Some secrets should remain buried, my captors tell me. And it looks like I will be, too. Buried alive.

Reunion is audiobook three in the Coming Home romantic suspense trilogy by USA Today best-selling author Meli Raine.

Cari really pisses me off!!

All she does is whine, give up, cry then finally does what she’s supposed to. I found myself yelling at her because she’s so weak. I don’t know if I like this book, it really frustrates me.

Descriptive

Spends a lot of time describing emotions and feelings and desire
Seems to take away from the story sometimes .
I just fast forwarded through some to get back on track of the story line which was enthralling .

Reunion at Home Bk 3

In this third book we find Carrie searching for her BFF that has been kidnapped and caught on camera.

Carrie finds herself betrayed by one of her closest friends and locked away. Thinking that her manipulating boss was a running a drug ring was just the tip of the iceberg and finds herself trapped and no one knows where to find her.

As Carrie struggles to survive, adds to the angst of the story, I was really annoyed at her constant "fainting" or passing out when things got tough.

Overall great writing but if Carrie was as strong as she is supposed to be in this series, she needs to get over the fainting.

too many similes

I lost track of the number of simile lists this author uses. There are WAY too many instances of "like an x, like a y, like a z". Pick one. I know my vocabulary. it was irritating. In addition, had there been fewer repetitions of the word "like", the author might have been able to fit all three installments into a single book, the way it should have been. I didn't dislike the storyline, but these writing issues are significant enough that I won't be reading any more from this author.

Great story

Loved the twists and turns of this book and I have to admit that Carrie isn't as dumb as I thought she was. Carrie has some backbone, she may be a little slow but she puts 2and 2 together nicely. I'm really liking this author.
