Story
Why does Night of the Living Dead hit with such chilling impact? Is it because everyday people in a commonplace house are suddenly the victims of a monstrous invasion? Or is it because the ghouls who surround the house with grasping claws were once ordinary people, too? Decide for yourself as you listen, and the horror grips you. All the cannibalism, suspense, and frenzy of the smash-hit are here in the novel.

Pounce, a styilsh "nannybot" fashioned in the shape of a plush anthropomorphic tiger, has just found a box in the attic. His box. The box he'd arrived in when he was purchased years earlier, and the box in which he'll be discarded when his human charge, eight-year-old Ezra Reinhart, no longer needs a nanny. As Pounce ponders his suddenly uncertain future, the pieces are falling into place for a robot revolution that will eradicate humankind.

As the ash and chaos from Mount Rainier’s eruption swirled and finally settled, the story of the Greenloop massacre has passed unnoticed, unexamined...until now. Publisher's summary
Return of the living dead...
A decade after the first zombie outbreak, a bus crashes in a small American town, killing everyone on board. Local churchgoers rush to the scene to save the living and destroy the dead. But they're too late. A terrifying new plague of living dead has been unleashed. A new horde of victims has been infected. And this time, they are ravenous.
In 1968, the classic Night of the Living Dead changed the face of horror. The film was based on the screenplay by George A. Romero and John Russo. The original novel written by John Russo was followed by Return of the Living Dead in 1978, a very different sequel than 1985 film directed by Dan O'Bannon.

Great book
The book overall is quite good, however it's not based on the movie.
It's more of an extension of the first movie.

it was ok. just ok.
it wasn't as bad as many others, but it also didn't hold me riveted like mountain man and a few others. this is my genre; and rated on a 1-10 I'd say a 6. Reader was clear which I really liked as a few on here are so hard to follow

MUCH more of a sequel to "Night..." than the film.
Much more grounded and based in the mythology of Night of the Living Dead, than the comedy that Dan O'Bannon ended up giving us.
Overall, I think it's better than many give it credit for. There are a few parts that sensitive readers might find distasteful; but I don't think the book puts distasteful focus on them...definitely no more graphic or exploitative than any OTHER zombie film that comes to mind, from this period.
The "Return" that we got in theaters is one of my very favorite movies of all time. But, if we'd gotten this movie as a legitimate sequel from Russo, I don't think anyone would have been disappointed.

Enjoyable Follow Up To The Classic 'Night'
I thoroughly enjoyed the story. It was a pretty good continuation of Night Of The Living Dead. It moved at a fast pace and the narrator did a good job with regards to the atmosphere and characters. The only gripes I have are that on teo occasions the audio skipped a second or two and I wish the book had been a few hours longer (purely because I love zombie stories!)

Return of the Living Dead
It truly lives up to a sequel to Night of The Living Dead. But with the added notion of another threat than the ghouls, it's the amount of stupidity, depravity, and cruelty other humans take upon the characters, from the trigger-happiness of law enforcement's inexperienced rescue team civilians to the murderous and survival instinct of Looters and rapists to the stubbornly isolated County residents. However, if looked at and analysed closely enough, you can connect the 1980s Horror Comedy 'The Return of The Living Dead' and certain events in the book.

For Dee Kwan, every day is the perfect day. No, really. She has a house she loves, a job she adores, and a ridiculously attractive “nemesis” who never seems to mind when she wins their favorite online game. How can life possibly get better? (It can’t, obviously. It can only get much, much worse.) Soon Dee is forced to share her adorably cozy home with her parents and estranged grandmother. Then she’s tossed into the deep end at work, tasked with cleaning up a scandal for the intimidatingly chic luxury fashion firm Celeste. If that weren’t enough, she discovers her hot nemesis works there, too.

Story
It's nearly Christmas, Julia Devine's favourite time of the year. She's just programmed a wonderful lead into the holidays at Sunny Street Cinema, which leaves her plenty of time to worry about going home to Cumbria for Christmas. Her mum and stepdad are fine, but the thought of spending another holiday with her awful stepsister Becca is enough to make a Scrooge out of anyone. When Becca calls to let her know about the dreamy pilot she's bringing to Christmas lunch, Julia finally snaps and does something very silly.

Story
The 13 chapters of The Art of War, each devoted to one aspect of warfare, were compiled by the high-ranking Chinese military general, strategist, and philosopher Sun-Tzu. In spite of its battlefield specificity, The Art of War has found new life in the modern age, with leaders in fields as wide and far-reaching as world politics, human psychology, and corporate strategy finding valuable insight in its timeworn words.
