I love this book have read it more than 100 times. The narrator does an excellent job at bringing the story alive.

Love maxu

I love maxu toughness and danger sexy. I wish he would have done more of his mercenary stuff thou but still great story. Love the humor and funny fighting between the two

I seriously love this trope. The whole I don’t want a man but this man won’t leave my mind and he’s literally stalking me but why do I kind of like it

Could have been exceptional. Was a boner killer.

I really liked the story telling skills and world building. I identified with the FMC’s back story which had me invested from the beginning. The chemistry between the main characters had great potential.
The only thing that kept getting in the way? The FMC is WAY too permissive. Nearly 30 but acts like an embarrassed 16 year old with no boundaries? Not likely. The real turn off was how the MMC was borderline abusive towards her and the plot created a coercive environment around the FMC so that she had to cow to the MMC. Pissed me off.
To be clear…I love a spicy MMC and I like to explore lots of BDSM and kink…but that guy demonstrates the characteristics of a man who is verbally and physically abusive. And the FMC just got psychologically a$$-f&cked by everyone around her.

I could live there

I like the narrator but not my favorite. he reads to fast on the male parts. but good on female. excellent story line tho

Love This Series!!

I love this series. I’ve listened to every book in this series so far, and each one is unique and interesting. The romance between each Male and Female Main Character (MC) is a stand alone story, but it also has a continuing story throughout all the books. Each couple is connected to the other couples in some way, and sometimes the other couples will either be mentioned by name or make an appearance in other books which is nice.

This particular book deals with the themes of overcoming insecurity and feelings of worthlessness coming out of a prior relationship, and learning to trust again after being hurt. I like how the author makes each character relatable with both of the MCs needing to deal with their past hurts, growing, and helping each other to change into better versions of themselves.

Also, I love the narrator in this series. Stephen Dexter brings the story to life and helps you get immersed in the world of the book. He has a great range of voices for both the male and female characters. Another thing I like about him, is how he acts out the sounds that the characters make when they talk or make noises. For example, when they’re laughing, sighing, grunting, etc… He really brings the story to life.

I can’t wait for the next book to be released as an audio book. I look forward to listening to the continuation of the stories in this world.
