Eloise

Eloise’s father desperately needs funds for the estate. She is sold into marriage with a wealthy lord. In comes Jackson, an Earl. These two have chemistry, and they have a HEA. This was a short and sweet story, great to finish in one afternoon. The characters continue from previous stories but can easily be read as a stand-alone. The narration was well done. I received a free copy of this audiobook, and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Eloise and Jackson

I am so enjoying this "The Lady Series" by Daisy Landish. All the books are clean, romantic and short. Standalone with common characters. This one is Eloise and Jackson's story. Her father has promised her to an older Duke. She wants a love match. She and Jackson meet with sparks. Where's the HEA?

I received a complimentary Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. Zane Boyer is perfect for the narration. Even his female voices are spot on. Well done.

Good Romance

This was my first experience with Daisy Landish's work, and it was entertaining, but a little frenetic. Jackson Barrington wanted to see the world. Once he met Eloise Gillingham, Jackson's desires underwent a change. The story jumped from one scene to the next almost as if it was a movie rather than a book. I enjoyed all the changing events and constant movement, but the story lacked some of the emotional descriptions to make a greater impact. Zane Boyer's narration was fine. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Delightful!

Lady Eloise is quite worried about her upcoming debut because her father has already promised her to be married to the old, balding, obnoxious Duke of Richmond. This isn'tanything like she had hoped her future would be and in a stroke of luck, she met theutterly handsome and kind Jackson, Lord Barrington-to-be. He is to inherit his father'stitle at his passing, but until then, he isn't able to ask for her hand. She's still forced to marry the Duke of Richmond, but she's taken by kidnappers and her life is changed. There's a sweet and fortunate twist that had me smiling at the end.The narration by Zane Boyer was dynamic, well-modulated and infused with tonaldifferences that brought the story and each character to life.
