Wow!!

I loved this book! The story is realistic, full of hope and emotions, plus some heart wrenching feelings. The author Kim Loraine is very talented. This book is the second in a series, but is a standalone. Characters from the previous book are woven into this one. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I was voluntarily provided with this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, narrator, and/or publisher. I thought the narrator Susan Fouche did an excellent performance . She captured the emotions well in her delivery.

Hot firefighter need I say more

Would you consider the audio edition of Renovation to be better than the print version?

Loved the narrator why of bring these characters alive.

Loved the story

I really enjoyed the story and Valerie is a great character and Donovan is a hunky fireman that just wants to prove he can be a good man. The only thing I didn't like was the narrators voice for the main character. She tried to make it higher pitched and it was slightly annoying but I enjoyed the story enough to continue listening.

Well written story that keeps you listening. The narrator carried the story and characters through nicely and was a pleasure to listen to. I don’t usually listen to books in this category, but will be looking for more from this author in the future.

A beautiful story of two broken souls finding love

Kim Loraine weaves a beautiful story of two broken, guarded souls who together go through the struggles of learning to open their hearts and let someone in.

Valerie and Donovan each have been through their own painful traumas and suffering s that make it difficult to trust in each other and fully give of themselves. We feel their pain, their heartache, the struggles they face trying to overcome their hidden truths and demons. Neither want to admit out loud their suffering and the cause, leading to hurt feelings and misdirected anger. Many times I wanted to grab and shake each one and yell at them to just open up and trust in each other! Throw in a devious ex who won’t stop and a twist at the end that throws their world upside-down and you have on heck of an emotional romance.

As with the first book in this series, this is well-written with great character development. Characters you fall in love with. A realism to them that makes you feel connected to them, makes you root for them. I’m looking forward to reading more in this series!
