The complete series in a single offering!

Aliens, madmen, or horrors from beyond the stars – nothing will get in the way of my revenge.

My name is James Browning. Not long ago, I was a proud member of the 92nd Legion, the Star Ravagers. We were super-soldiers that defended humanity from aliens, heretics, and otherworldly threats. But a callous betrayal left my legion decimated, erased, and dishonored.

I thought I was doomed to spend the rest of my life on a distant penal colony. But when I suddenly find myself stranded in an alien space station, surrounded by the wrecks of lost spaceships, I know I have a chance at escape. But to do so I’ll need to defy the madness inflicted by the station, defeat hordes of man-eating aliens, and crush a cult of lunatics who worship a horrifying god.

But I’m not alone. I’ll form a crew of beautiful, dangerous women: a brilliant engineer, an ancient, fragmented AI, and a human-alien hybrid. But the danger we face is beyond mortal comprehension, a threat not just to us… but to the entire Milky Way.

near the end I was having a hard time continuing the intense story but made it thru to the glorious end. highly recommended.

I enjoyed the whole series and was glad the harrem elements didn't overshadow the plot, even in later books. My only complaint is that too many things went beyond scientific reality or logical reason. Still a good read.

Good series, great value

In reading books of this genre, there’s very little that happens that’s heart-wrenching Lu sad, and very few surprises. The slight twist at the end was one that I had anticipated, but that I had expected to be a development that the bad guys had long planned out, as they had a means of altering one of our heroes’ minds throughout the books. But no, it was basically happenstance that they were able to pull it off. For entities that had apparently put much planning into their “inevitable” victory, they didn’t much feel like they planned well.

And the real twist at the end was not something that had much in the way of set-up; it felt very deus ex machinic, to coin a phrase.

It wasn’t enough to make the whole thing feel unsatisfying; but it was enough to make things feel a bit more plastic, a bit less realistic. Not that anyone reading this sort of tale is necessarily seeking realism, but that’s true of most fantasy, and a lot of science fiction. Part of the bargain of these settings, in the best books, is that the fundamental unreality of the settings lets the author explore the human condition; that feels like it’s absent in the harem-lit corner. While there’s lots of death, there’s remarkably little loss experienced by the core group of heroes.

Good story, few surprises

Firstly I really enjoyed this story. It’s a fun sci-fi base building adventure well written with excellent narration. Now for the space marine in the room. The framework of this universe is very clearly warhammer 40k and I’m here for it. It’s like a fun fanfic/tribute to the universe with some interesting differences. It was fun. Plus there is a Kerrigan the queen of blades analogue which made me smile!

Fun story

Do you love Warhammer or Warhammer 40k? How about Starcraft? Joan of Arc? Bad Ass Female Warriors? Femme Fatales? No nonsense mechanical types?! Well…lemme tell ya Brother or Sister. You’re in for a wild ride across the Milky Way and you’re going to meet some fun characters and not so fun ones. This is a high stakes, lots of explosions and bullets, into the sub reality of action, love making, blood and guts and cute alien flower puppies! All the French descriptions are fantastic as well. Gloire et honneur!

This is a love letter to the fans…
