Emotional!
This was my first Brittany Marie Baker. Reigny Days is the first book in the Reign Novellas Series, a YA fiction. The story is very emotional, and has some triggers: depression and suicide. Mental health isn't an easy subject to write about, and even more to read about. Reign is a beautiful young character, who suffering from a major depressive disorder. The storyline has drama, difficult relationships, unsupportive parents, and a dysfunctional family. The story ends with a cliffhanger, to be continued in the next book, Reign on Me. Honestly, I wonder why the author decided to split this story in short novellas, rather than one novel. Lacy Laurel does a great job with the narration.
