The direct sequel to the Hugo Award-winning novel Cyteen, Regenesis continues the story of Ariane Emory PR, the genetic clone of one of the greatest scientists humanity has ever produced, and of her search for the murderer of her progenitor - the original Ariane Emory. Murder, politics, deception, and genetic and psychological manipulation combine against a backdrop of interstellar human societies at odds to create a mesmerizing and major work in Regenesis.

Who did kill the original Ariane Emory? And can her personal replicate avoid the same fate? Those questions have remained unanswered for two decades since the publication of Cyteen. Now, in Regenesis, those questions will finally be answered.

A happy expansion of Ari’s story wrapping up the loose ends of Ari’s murder and continuation of her adventures. Well worth the read and I wish there was more.

Excellent Continuation and Ari’s Story

I just listened to this book for the 10th time. I start with cyteen then regenesis. What I like is that there are some words I don’t know. I delight in the scientific and the characters built in both books.

A delightful book

this book closed off so many loose ends! the beginning was a little slow, but as it moved on you become enrolled. this is the first audiobook that I have ever listened to all the way through and I was on the edge of my seat. if you were at all familiar with this universe, you will absolutely love this book there are so many deserved events for the characters I was literally had my yard rocked and was on the edge of my seat. please listen to it oh my God!

OMG! Such an amazing ending to a story!

I enjoyed hearing this after the first book. I found how the original Ari’s murder was solved. This was the first read since I read the original book.

Surprise

AUDIBLE NO LONGER ALLOWING RETURNS ON AUDIO BOOKS PURCASHED WITH CASH LISTEN TO SAMPLE BEFORE PURCAHSE!!

I read some of the reviews, but didn't anticipate just how bad the narration and sound editing are. Within sentences, every few words, there are completely different sounding narrations both in volume, tone, and "echo", sound much louder and with noticeable/strange echo quality, that are incredibly distracting. Nouns and names are pronounced differently from previous book. Why did the narrators not listen to even a small sample of previous book to pronounce things the same? CJ Cherryh is my favorite author and I'm excited to get to the audio books on audible, but this one is pretty bad. Listen to a sample first before purchasing. I purchased this a couple other CJ Cherryh books without much concern as Audible has always allowed returns if I didn't like the book. No longer. Unknown to me, Audible changed its return policy in October so that books purchased with cash are no longer returnable. I got this audiobook at a discount because I owned the kindle version so could get it cheaper for cash than the cost of purchasing a credit to then purchase it. This policy will ultimately lead me to purchase no more books than my yearly subscription of credits because I don't want to take the change on getting another poorly narrated book.

Great story poor narration and editing
