Publisher's summary

April 2022. When an unknown gunman sends David and William back to Earth Two, Michael, and Livia are left gasping along with the rest of their universe. Accepting that their respective employers are possible suspects, not to mention untrustworthy, the pair band together in the shooting's immediate aftermath, in an attempt to put the first few pieces of the puzzle together. But when an unexpected bout of time travel upends everyone yet again, Michael and Livia realize they are on their own, and this particular puzzle is one that they - and only they - can solve.

Refuge in Time takes place concurrently with and immediately following the events of Champions of Time, the previous book in the After Cilmeri series.

Another great installment jn "The After Climeri"

Sarah Woodbury, and Laurel Schroeder hit this audio version out of the park. Exciting , nailbiting suspense, action packed page turner. This particular story is closely aligned with two other syories with overlapping timeframes and themes. This book is best enjoyed with reading &/or listening to "Shades of time", Champions in time before enjoying the experience. of Refuge In time. Just a recommendation, make sure you have a block of time before you start because you won't want to stop reading/listening to this one until it is finished!

Continues to be my favorite series EVER

Because I so love the series it's hard to explain where this one falls on my top ones in the series. What I think is great is that despite already being so far into the series it didn't disappoint. It is not a formula book. I read a lot of series and eventually it seems like I'm re reading the same book. But not this series. It builds on the ones before but it doesn't disappoint. It is still as strong as the others. The series continues to get better and build upon itself. Can't wait for the next one.

The Saga Continues...

The After Cilmeri series is one of my all time favorite series. Sarah Woodbury is skillful at creating new characters to add to the story line which keeps the story fresh. The story opens with David and William going from Avalon (present time) to Earth Two (medieval) when a gunman starts shooting at them while they’re doing an interview on TV. Meanwhile, Cadell (Anna’s son) decides he needs to go rescue his uncle David so he jumps off a tower and finds himself in Avalon. He just misses his uncle, but he gets help and eventually goes back to Earth Two accompanied by Michael (hired by Chad to be David’s bodyguard) and Livia (MI-5). We’re left with lots of questions about Chad Treadman - is he a real friend or manipulating things for his own interests.
What I loved about this book: I really started to like Michael in the prior book and I’m hoping since he ends up in Earth Two that we’ll learn more about him. Cadell has a good sized role in this story and he’s such a mix of kid and adult. While he’s clearly out of his element - and his time - he displays a surprising amount of maturity when it’s necessary. I’m constantly amazed to see how Sarah keeps this story going and continues to create new characters, bring in the old familiar ones, and put them in challenging situations. I can’t wait for the next book!
I like to read the books as they come out and then a few months later, listen to them on audio. The audio makes the story come alive in a new way and has given me a better idea of how the Welsh words are pronounced so I don’t stumble over them when reading.

Sarah Woodbury and Laurel Schroeder do it again!

This is my favorite series. I love the world Sarah Woodbury has created, and her inventive plot twists.
I have both the ebook and audiobook versions... and love listening to favorite audiobooks when gardening or sewing, or just when I need a break.
Laurel Schroeder is probably my favorite female narrator. I just love her voice, characterizations, and her accents for the various characters.

Spoiler alert... unfortunately, Laurel Schroeder is not the narrator for Book 18. So sad that she is not finishing the series. It doesn't feel the same without her. Enjoy this last episode with Laurel!
