Publisher's summary

No one plays like Reed Olson, whether it's hockey season or not. After back-to-back NHL championships, he's craving a little R&R. Reed leans to a specific type - blond, busty, and interested - and fortunately he has a little black book full of options. So why is it he can't stop dreaming about the new girl who just moved in next door? A certified brainiac, she seems to want nothing to do with the hard-bodied athlete.

Josie Ives desperately needs something her celebrity neighbor obviously doesn't: solitude. Reed is everything she imagined - a little too good-looking, with a body that puts Greek gods to shame. But she didn't expect he would also be funny and charming. Josie knows she's the opposite of his type, and that's fine with her.

Still, the chemistry between them is undeniable. Their newfound friendship certainly has its benefits, but she's starting to wonder if opposites really do attract.

Contains mature themes.

Love this couple!

Josie and Reed are so cute together. He's been sleeping with shallow, dumb girls because it's easy and he can never call them again once he's done. Josie is smart and not playing games like that, so he has to work to get her in a relationship and it helped him realize what he wants. They fit together, he treated her well and tried to be understanding about things with her ex. Josie was able to expand her life beyond work and make some friends with the Cold Fury women.
This was pretty short and flew by. The characters were fun and this has been a great series.

Move along, you can find better

The hero was sweet but insecure, instalove of the unrealistic kind between two people who didn't have much in common. Story was uninspired, read very flat to me and rushed, like whee-i-still-have-to-do-7-more-of-this-stories-by-tomorrow kind. This was my first from the series and will be the last too.

Cocky hockey player

These two meet under awkward circumstances but still fall into a strange friendship. He’s cocky and flirty and a total manwhore. She is everything he normally doesn’t want but ends up being the perfect woman for him making him a better man. Fun read and even though he was a bit of a jerk I was on his side and he was a great book boyfriend.

Love, love, love this series. Once I started this series I was hooked on anything by this author and will one click and preorder all her books without a second though. Definitely recommend her

Good story; abrupt ending

Engaging plot and characters throughout the book. Was a bit shocked by the abrupt ending, though.

Pleasant, cute, hot romance with very little drama

Another hockey romance - this time Reed Olson falling for ER Josie. She is smart, responsible, a bit lonely, and has a good sense of humor. He is a nice guy who is taking advantage of his celebrity status with any busty blonde that he can when he meets his sharp neighborhood doctor. Their attraction sparks a friendship but by a month later they progress to lovers. The complication appears when Josie’s ex, who happens to also be pretty nice as well, returns to work in the same hospital. Aidan has a 3 year former history that was good until he had blindsided Josie by unexpectedly joining Doctors Without Borders to satisfy a sudden desire for adventure. He’s a bit intellectually intimidating as well to Reed not sure if he can be all his doctor will need in the future. The one fight and make up session comes at the end so the book is about a chapter too short. We could have had more scenes with team members and an epilogue going into the season but instead the author devotes the time to setting up for the next book about Merek. Hopefully there will be a bit more on Reed and Josie in Merek’s book. The character development appeared a bit repetitive and the book was pretty basic format.
The narration was good though not great. This would make a perfect selection for the Romance Package or on sale but is not really worth a credit.

Finally a good story again

The last few books in the series had me worried! I was just about to give up on the series. The characters seemed real and I actually cared about them. The only thing that would have made it a little better if Aiden was not the good guy. I kinda wanted him to make a play for Josie. Other than that it was a good story.

sexy from the beginning

Sawyer hit it out of the park with one. Reed and Josie are hot all through the story. Hands down one of my favorite of the series, and I love this series.
The chemistry and banter kept you on your seat. I can't wait for Marek.

Okay story and good narration

He is a hockey player and she is a doctor. We follow how hey go from neighbours, to friends and lovers. There isn’t anything special about this book, it’s just a light, superficial story. It’s weird how he is always free, no practice, no training, nothing physical apart from the steamy scenes 🤷🏽‍♀️
There are plenty of funny bits (I liked the Barbie bit at the beginning).
Great narration, but the story is okay(as it was free), otherwise it’s falls flat. Free on plus catalogue Audible.

listened as a standalone as none of the other books interested me all that much.

Reed grew up and fell in love, Josie got over her ex.

worth the time.
