Publisher's Summary

Manage your time the way Jesus managed his with a biblical antidote to swamped to-do lists and hurried schedules.

Despite the overwhelming amount of resources for time management and work-life balance, the ability to cultivate the efficiency and equilibrium needed to manage all our worthy pursuits can often feel frustratingly out of reach. The reason for our struggle is that productivity and time-management systems focus on individual habits rather than more meaningful and lasting lifestyle changes. But as it turns out, there is a better way to reach our full potential.

We don’t need just another approach to changing our habits. What we need is an operating system that takes into account the full scope of our lives. In this audiobook, best-selling author Jordan Raynor presents this system, using seven powerful time-management principles drawn from the example of how Jesus lived:

  1. Start with the word: Find meaningful connection with the author of time daily.
  2. Let your yes be yes: Accept only the commitments you can fulfill.
  3. Dissent from the Kingdom of Noise: Create room for silence, stillness, and reflection.
  4. Prioritize your yeses: Confidently maintain your commitments.
  5. Accept your “unipresence”: Focus on one important thing at a time.
  6. Embrace productive rest: Live the God-designed rhythms of rest which are productive for our goals and souls.
  7. Eliminate all hurry: Embrace productive busyness while ruthlessly eliminating hurry from our lives.

With these principles, you’ll see how Jesus managed his time on Earth and how he responded to human constraints much like the ones you face today. More than that, you’ll discover corresponding practices that will help you embrace the best, most Christlike version of yourself possible: purposeful, present, and wildly productive.

Not what I expected. Wordy. To much information.

He gave too much info to fast. He did not refere to how Jesus handled things with enough detail. He did however read the book with passion for what he was reading.

More productivity and confidence, less stress and overwhelm

I until I was 27 years old my whole life was pretty much scheduled for me. I was a professional football player. The schedules were already in place, so all I had to do was show up. When I retired, I floundered for a while trying to find my way even with something as basic as setting my own schedule. For seven years I have been trying to find the right productivity system and have spent hundreds of hours researching and reading countless books on the topic.

THE BOTTOM LINE: this book is better than everything I’ve learned in seven years combined. It is the most practical book I’ve ever read on the topic. It immediately changed my life (specifically CTS and time budgeting sections). I now have a system that will keep me from forgetting things and gives me the confidence that I will be able to get everything done that I need to. Applying the tools from this book has led to a dramatic decrease in stress and overwhelm.

I also went through all of the online videos that paired with the book which were immensely helpful in showing how to implement the tools and methods in your life.

I’m so grateful that Jordan Raynor wrote this book!

Great book addressing the mental and practical

This book starts by giving you a biblical view of time and really sets the stage to receive God’s peace from the beginning. It properly puts everything in perspective. Then Raynor gives real practical and detailed steps on time management strategies.

A gift on God's perfect timing!

I'm tearing up as I finish this book. I have struggled with managing my time for over 30 years and have read so many books on time management that I could probably teach a class. Looking back, these books have planted seeds but have never fully grown or taken root in me. I am someone who needs to understand and agree with the why behind everything I do. This book not only gives great scientific reasons, but even more importantly biblical reasons for each of the practices mentioned. I cannot recommend this book enough!!

Redeeming your time is hard work but so worth it!!!

My suggestion: listen to this book and implement it in your life. The way that the author sets up the book and all the additional resources is very helpful. If you can grab the concepts, put work behind adopting them, and build a set up that fits, this is a game changer. Jordan, Thank you.

An amazing book, for learning to redeem your time in a Christ centred manner

I found this very insightful with a lot of useful tips for redeeming our time. As a Christian, I especially value the fact that this was focused on how to do it in a christ centred way. I will definitely be reading the rest of Jordan‘s books as I feel there will be a lot of wisdom I can gain from them. if you are someone who wants to learn to better manage your time, this is a great book for that purpose especially if you are somebody like me he wants to do it in a Christ centred manner.

Incredibly practical

So so good! I've never read such a practical book. To have it read by the author himself is also brilliant.

Great book

This book had some great biblical principles about discipline and sabbath. I learnt a lot and I'm keen to start implementing some of them into my own life! However, get ready to hear a lot about his website and the resources on there as you may want to check them out too!
